Down Under Auto Sales

They bought my truck back as I didn't need it anymore. I bought it from them 3 years ago. Good truck. 06 Tacoma 4wd. I'm gonna miss her.

I called them to see if they still had a vehicle I was interested in. I was greeted with a simple "hello" as if the person on the other end was at home. I had to ask if I dialed the correct number. After finding out it was, I asked about the vehicle. The person on the other end wasn't sure so he told me he would call me back in 10 minutes. Never called me back and that was it.

I can't really rate them on actually buying a car or talking to someone in person, but the interaction over the phone shows it's way too relaxed of an environment over there. Professionalism seemed to be an after-thought so I went elsewhere.

Brad was extremely helpful and transparent. I enjoyed the easy buying process and would defiantly buy again.

We have bought 3, inexpensive used cars from these guys over a 20 year time span. I never have a concern about them being straight shooters and they know where I live!

I helped my brother purchase a pickup from Down Under and felt obligated to write a positive review after our experience. Pat was wonderful to work with and made the process seamless, despite some delay on our bank's end. There was also no pressure. Very friendly group and highly recommend! Thanks again!

How likely is it that you will live long enought to rate a used auto shopping experience as five stars? If you deal with Down Under the chances are extremely high. These guys listen well, focus on their customer's needs instead of on making the sale, are high on providing information and no pressure. I belive one of the poorer DU reviews speaks to Pat's basically discougaging a customer from driving from out of town to purchase a car that didn't fit.

I believe that; I don't think Pat would sell a car that he thought would disappoint his customer. Excellent price, attentive and personal service, no pressure: what's not to like. Head and shoulders above their competitors on all important criteria--quality, honesty, ease of purchase and on and on. I can hardly believe I am writing this about a "used car guy" but its true. Shop here first and save yourself a lot of time, trouble, and money.

Brad is really great. Best customer service I've received in a long time. He went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable in my purchase and I appreciate him very much. Had a great experience here! Staff was friendly and not for one moment did we feel pressured to buy. The process was fast and smooth and I appreciated his honesty, which is lacking at many of the smaller dealerships in Austin. 10/10 would recommend.

I called this dealership to buy a truck. I saw that they had a good price on a truck I was interested in. I spoke with the gentleman that owns the business. I told him that I was located out of state. I have purchased many trucks out of state. This made him very nervous. He had no issue with me paying cash. He was concerned that I would get here and not like the vehicle.

I asked him to let me know if anything was wrong with the vehicle. He said he cannot sell it to me. After asking several times for pictures, that he never did send over, I called again later that day and said that I was still interested. He said he wasn't comfortable with selling to someone out of state. I have never had a car salesman refuse cash for one of their vehicles.

I explained to him that if I got there and did not like the truck then I would go home, at my own expense. He said he wasn't comfortable with that. The description of his vehicle said that nothing was wrong with it. After talking to him for a minute or two, he revealed that it had a transmission problem. He said he would take it to his mechanic and get back with me in the morning. That was a week ago. I read many reviews about this dealership before my first phone call over. I am sure that he is a good man, but I think he is a horrible car salesman.

I can't say enough. These guys are HONEST, FAIR and know what a GREAT vehicle is. They only sell reliable cars at affordable prices. Purchase my dream car from Tommy a few weeks ago, Toyota 4 runner. There was a tiny leak in the rear, nothing serious but they offered to help with the repair costs, gave me a free of charge rental while the car was in the shop.

It's a great vehicle and it feels amazing to know that you are being treated fairly in a market that woman get taken advantage of a lot. I will always buy from them! Thanks y'all!

My first purchase here, was for my daughter who was relocating to CA. We needed something reliable and economical. Pat, delivered. I'm back for a second time looking to upgrade from 04 Explorer. To say, that Pat and the crew here are Awesome is an understatement. These guys are truly genuine, honest folks. Come check them out, you won't be disappointed. Pat, Brad and Chris are a dynamic trio. As for me, I'm super excited about my 2017 Gray Mica Highlander. Thanks, Pat. I'm a happy girl.

Make sure you take a mechanic with you to look over the vehicle first. I purchased a Nissan from here that had been wrecked previously in its life which they did not tell me and the car had a long history of electric problems. After 2 weeks of purchasing the stereo face stop working, door handle broke. Now I'm have major electrical issues with it and found out some rigged and circuit goin to one of the coils. I could have bought the same car on CL for much less money and headaches.

I suppose it's about time I leave a review for this place - purchased a vehicle from them September of 2015. To summarize for those who don't want to read a long review, this place is great, and more specifically, Brad is an amazing person to do business with. There were a few hiccups in the paperwork (none were intentional nor due to negligent practices), however Brad was quick to reconcile any hardships the hiccups caused (to include paying any fees associated with correcting the errors, on top of the car payment that was due because the paperwork was caught up in the mail).

Another example of how honest Down Unders' business practice is, is I had looked up recalls for the vehicle I purchased - come to find out there was a recall on the clutch assembly but the previous owner hadn't taken the vehicle in before the mileage deadline was met, and therefore never had the clutch replaced. Brad had no reservations offering to cover the cost of a replacement clutch because of the previous owners mistake. All around great people who I'd recommend anyone to.
