I looked at their cars online but wanted to see the inside of the vehicle in person. Went to the lot and was told they do not allow anyone to look inside without them scanning your drivers license and you signing some forms. Why would you need my license in order for me to see the inside? Seemed sketchy so I left. I went to Carmax instead.

First the positive: the salesperson was extremely friendly and not pushy at all - which was just what we needed while shopping for a vehicle for my daughter who had an accident earlier in the day. The first problem came with just a simple clerical error where the SS# was entered incorrectly. That error, however, did not stop us from getting the vehicle because they went the extra mile and made some calls to allow us to drive it off the lot.

The problems began afterwards. Now the negative: We were told that the paperwork would be processed and we could get the tag here in MS. After several days of waiting and several calls and text messages I finally got a letter from the company Hertz contracts with to process the paperwork for tag and title transfer. The letter said I had 14 days to go to the tax collector and sign that paperwork that was being sent directly to the county tax collector.

Almost three weeks later and the paperwork has yet to arrive. Meanwhile we have no idea what to expect and budget for the taxes (and penalties) to come. We have other purchases that are on hold because we don't know what to expect. So the staff gets a B+ (would have been an A if they had gotten the numbers straight and not had to keep us an extra hour).

But the corporation gets a D for not communicating and for using a company like ABS Tag and Title to process for them. A quick look at the ABS reviews and you can see this is not a new thing. And yet Hertz Car Sales continues to use them to process. I have to wonder who is getting the kickback here. You are known by the people you hang around with and, Hertz, you could have chosen more wisely.

Buying a car was a breeze but getting your license plates are a pain. It has been over 3 months and I haven't received mines yet. They say it is Shelby County but I have seen people get the new tags since I bought my car in February. This is ridiculous!

A RIPOFF like the rest in this town. People dealer/doc fees are not mandated by TN government. They are made up fees for dealerships to line there pockets so don't pay them. Google it

The employees are a tad slow but they're nice. The car I rented had just been returned. The employee washed the car but it could have been done better. But considering there are only two employees I won't hold that against them.

The sales portion of the vehicle purchased on June 18, 2020 was fine. I was greeted when I walked in, asked the usual what am I looking for.the expected took place. However the problem is the wait time for the sales tax. I understand the idea of "making the sale." However, I do wish that I had been told about the extensive wait. Would I have gone somewhere else had I known about it?

Of course. But the transparency would have been greatly appreciated and respected. To know of other dealerships that have made sales and their customers have received their info concerning sales tax makes me feel like I should have gone else where to make my purchase. I would like to say that I thank Jennifer for her attempts to find out what is going on with my tags.

Bottom line: If you make a purchase during this time, you will have a long wait for your tags. What I would like to happen now is to hear from someone above Jennifer to contact me with direct information concerning my sales tax. Month 3 without them is about to begin.

Don't go hear they will sell uou a car that's all messed up my sonata had a leak in my tire dirty oil bad brakes bad spark plugs. they say they serviced the car but clearly they charged me for the service fee and didn't even maintain my car

Yesterday, l was searching for a vehicle. My car had been totaled in a horrific car accident in which all four of us walked away under God's divine protection. I was greeted warmly and the purchasing process was one of ease lt was a wonderful, non-stressed experience with both the salesman and the finance Dept. Many thanks to Hertz Rental and Sales. Car buying part was easy paid in full and I decided to not do my registration through them after reading the reviews about wait time but the wait time is just as bad when even if you don't register through them. I was told I would receive my title in 1-2 weeks called today 3 weeks after my purchase and was informed it actually takes about 40-45 days to receive the title. The cars they have are beautiful low mileage newer models but the price you pay is the wait time for paperwork. Just Beware

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. It's full of scammers and idiots who dont know what they're doing. I saw a bmw on their site which I made an appt to test drive about 3 days in advanced. A guy named Edmund reached out and said it'd be cleaned and rdy that day (7/25). I drive 1.5 hrs there to see Edmund come out and say "he's busy" with another client, which Id guess he wasnt and had another sales guy come out (I didnt get his name, but was an African American man) and said he'd help me.

Then says the car i was supposed to test was not "physically on the lot" but that they still had it and in the meantime I can test drive another white version of the car I wanted--whats the pt? Then he says oh actually it was sold last night? The fuck? Why not alert me or not schedule a test drive at all. AVOID. They deserve 0 stars. Dishonest and stupid is how id sum it up.

I arrived at this Hertz location and met up with my contact Hiroshi Torres. He provided me prompt service and was respectful. That's about the extent of the good part of the review. He took me outside to look over the car that i had found on the website. It was dirty but there was also something different about it. The first this i noticed was the pictures posted showed an in dash display which was not in the car that i saw in person.

After going for the test drive Hiroshi asked me to wait while they do the paperwork. At that point i had already signed everything and presented Hiroshi with 2 checks since i got independently financed through a credit union. I was okay with waiting. After the first hour i started to get antsy as it was crowded. Im not a huge fan of the whole social distancing deal, but there was no observance of any kind of social distancing.

The inside portion was also very dirty. Back to the wait i went outside and looked over the car again. Thats when i really noticed what was different. The car posted on the website was not a Nissan Versa at all. Although the VIN matched they posted pics of a Nissan Sentra. Im not very familiar with the Nissan family of vehicles. When i showed Hiroshi the different pictures, his response was well we dont take the pictures.

In my profession, when someone points out an error or inconsistency i always try to offer a solution. That was not the case here at Hertz. It was basically dismissed. After waiting another hour and feeling pretty upset about the misinformation and the wait i approached Hiroshi to ask what i was waiting for and Hiroshi told me that there was 2 other people ahead of me.

I asked him why it was taking so long considering I was not financing through them and he said that did not matter as they complete paperwork as received. By that time i was over it and definitely did not want to wait any longer so i asked Hiroshi for my checks back and left the location. I guess my expectation fell short due to me expecting a dealership atmosphere where they actually want to earn your business but when your selling rentals as well below retail and have a high volume of customers, ensuring the customer is happy is not the #1 priority. I will not be back to this location and possibly company in my search for a vehicle.

No complaints here and I had a lot of great help from an older Asian dude at the counter. He was very helpful and asked about what my needs were and my destinations. We had something in common as he has some friends in the San Francisco Bay area where I'm from. It made my experience a lot easier and, because we related on local fishing spots and friends nearby an Fremont an Union City. Anyway, I wanted the smallest and cheapest car just to drive home but there wasn't anything available so he gave me a mini SUV for the same price, thought that was pretty cool. Also, he was upfront about telling me that since it's a last minute swap, the car that I have is dirty on the outside but very clean in the inside.

I said due to the rain and wind, it's pretty dusty. I really didn't care but I thought that was nice of him to give me the heads up. I was in and out in 20 minutes and on my way back to Norcal. Keep up the great work over there

I would like to thank David Duarte for helping me with a process of getting a trade in trade up, he worked trying to get my deal approved but it was unsuccessful due to me being upside down on my car about 5k he noticed how disappointed I was he apologized for not being able to get the deal done, upon my way home I received a call from David asking me if I wanted a new car and he referred me to his buddy from Toyota of Riverside, I would like to thank David for going above and beyond for helping me and for referring me to Toyota which lead me to get a beautiful 2020 Camry.

I was able to get a new Nissan kicks with a great pay rate and I have poor credit a nd with the extended warranty I pay less than 400.00/mos. They were so helpful. I thank God for them.

Was there yesterday from open til after close. They were super patient with me as a first time buyer and even let me take two cars to a mechanic to get them checked. Like any car sales they will try not to move on the price at all especially being a no haggle price establishment but they try to work with you as much as they can. It might have taken all day but i left with the car i wanted for a good price!

My husband an I decided to purchase a car and found a car that we liked on the Hertz website, I was able to complete most of the application process online, the salesman, Derrick, was sooo nice, friendly, helpful and engaging. He made us all feel comfortable while going through the car buying experience. Our car is beautiful, clean and works well. I would be happy to purchase another car from here in the future!

My experience here was great. Paul, Mark, and Sean were so helpful to me while I was trying to find the right vehicle and each member of the team helped alleviate the stress. I am extremely pleased with the customer care I received at Hertz of Riverside provided by Natalie. Natalie was attentive, showed real care and concern with the recalled vehicle I purchased here. Natalie didn't waste anytime replaced my car with proper working car with a smoothe like butter process. I had been working on this issue for about 3mths with the warranty company and kia and got nowhere.

At my wits end I called hertz and Natalie sweet and friendly voice calmed me I was having a panick attack Anyways it took Natalie 2 days to find a solution. I am amazed and pleased. If customer service is in the dictionary I'm sure Natalies picture is next to the meanimg. 5 stars for Natalie and Hertz of Riverside.

Don't believe the Car Fax or the certified Hertz inspection. Check every aspect of the car especially the bumper and underneath the vehicle. Not worth the headache in the end. James (2018 Nissan Rouge)

Please be aware, if you choose to buy a car here you will be met with the poorest customer service with no regard to the customer whatsoever. After the sale, they do not want to talk to or hear from you again. I purchased a car more than seven months ago and was sold a car with expired tags. I was assured that I'd receive them within the next three months.

I wouldn't be here if I did. What followed is me calling the next several months asking where the tags are, filling out extra DMV paperwork (they're supposed to do that, btw). Pretty soon they stopped responding, stopped answering my emails and whenever I call they took my message and never called back. This has been the most frustrating experience. I've emailed the company itself with no response.

The location stopped responding to my emails and calls. So my warning to potential customers is this is a bad company, will leave you to figure out things they're responsible for (things you've paid for) and have no regard for the people that buy cars from them. Very disappointing. Almost a month since I posted this and they still refuse to contact me in an way. Shady company.

Here you go to the general public. if you wish to buy a car from the so called # 2 car dealership in the nation. it's because they have made thousands of deals with many financial services. of you try to get a car from any hertz car dealership your required per hertz car sales to only use a company that they finance with. they told me i was required per hertz policy i must use there finance company and pay 28.6 interest. and i would never agree to that term. and i had my own financial services that would pay for car if the report the sale to california d.m.v they refused to do this even when the c.h.p went to the riverside hertz car sales and the manager told the chp officer it's a civil matter and practice of hertz that all cars must go only through hertz car sales financial services. this is infact illegal according to many customers protection agency's your allowed to have your own financial services pay for a car at any time. i have been trying to get the car financed. but the riverside hertz car sales will not report the car as being sold ( since 9/19/19) as a matter of fact the attorney for hertz just filed court action to recover the car they will not let car be paid off by a finance company unless they are on the list of approved companies by hertz car sales. there attorney is charging hertz car sales over $400.00 a hour and paying the court filing fee over $380.00 only to recover a car that i am trying to pay to hertz car sales $10.320 left to pay. they wont let me pay the hertz car sales from my financial services. note the car is only worth $ 7.207. per kelly blue book. they raised the price of car by adding a extended warranty that i told them i refused. they say its required per the f&i manager. finance and insurance department. the court set this case for 5 months in future to allow a investigation to be started. notice to any person trying to buy any hertz car please go to another dealership. every body contact your city/ state/federal consumer protection agency if your having these issues with hertz car sales anywhere in the united states. i am a disabled person on limited income. yet i cant pay for a hertz car because now i have to pay attorney.

Thank you so much Edmund Martinez. We bought a car today. He is amazing. He went above and beyond for us. We were there yesterday and left a little unhappy but with his time and effort we came back today and left with the car we loved, if not for him we may not have gone back. Thank you again so much for everything Edmund. 5 stars to him. Also the gal who helped us sign papers was amazing too.

Very friendly and caring. Spend 3 hours there yesterday and 2 hours there today. I appreciate Edmund helping me set up my blue tooth and sent us off with a smile. And a thank you to Darrick who helped us when we first came to look at cars on June 17, he was off when we went back yesterday.

I haven't had the car long, but I can say that this was the most pleasant car buying experience in a long time. Derrick Turner covered every question and made my wife and I feel comfortable throughout the whole transaction. We connected with him immediately. This is the place to by a car. Took my daughter there to buy a car last Saturday. Derrick was the sales person that helped us and he was great. We told him want we wanted and he pulled out his list to help us. Once we picked a car, the finance team quickly got my daughter financed. The interest rate was high but that was to be expected with her little credit history.

Then we went to do final signatures and finance rep, Natalie, was able to to get my daughter a lower rate, SCORE! She too was very nice and professional. We were there just under three hours and my daughter rolled off the lot in her 2017 Ford Focus with low miles. I am planning to by an SUV later this year and I will be going back there. You should too!

I've been corresponding with the Hertz Riverside Dealership regarding the purchase of a vehicle. They quoted me a price in writing for a specific vehicle on their lot. I communicated back and forth with them for over a month. It took them over 48 hours to return my calls or emails, until I finally escalated to the Sales Manager. Unfortunately, when it came down to the purchase order, suddenly the base price of the same exact vehicle increased by $1,100 (not including tax, etc), and they were unwilling to honor their written offer. I find this completely unethical. I would not do business with this dealership as not only are they unethical, their internet sales team is completely incompetent.

So this is our families 4th purchase from Hertz (Riverside) and all have been with our favorite salesman Derrick Turner. Derrick has been top notch since the 1st purchase through yesterday. As a matter of fact we texted him and although it was his day off, he made it a point to according to him " to take care of his peeps" and came in to assist us.

Each car we have purchased has been great and problem free. I have to admit its hard to go in and not haggle, but their prices are always great. Their selection often varies, but you can't go wrong with the late models and low miles on most. If you decide to go in and purchase a car, ask for Derrick because with him you won't get any BS and he will hard to get you the deal you are looking for.
