Our combined team experience is substantial, and we constantly keep ourselves current with ATRA, ATSG, ASE and many other avenues of technical education. Though we are members of these industry organizations, we don't always agree with everything these organizations state. Our busy four bay shop is located in picturesque Barton, Vermont, less than a mile south on Vermont Route 16 off Interstate 91, exit 25.

Leroux Brothers is a family business, lead by Dale Leroux. Our team features our father and sister, plus a team of specialized mechanics who work along side us. We have decades of experience in automotive repair specifically, and mechanical repair generally. We have been rebuilding transmissions for nearly twenty years.
At Leroux Brothers, our specialty is rebuilding automatic transmissions. We do this for all types and sizes of vehicles, from large industrial, to compact hybrids. We remain fascinated with automatic transmissions, as well as the continued engineering efforts to increase performance. However, as automatic transmissions become even more complicated, we sometimes notice ripples of inconsistency in design and build quality.
At Leroux Brothers, we know transmissions. For years, we've been hard at work repairing, rebuilding and modifying transmissions to work better, and last longer. An automatic transmission (we repair manual trannies as well) is one of the most complicated electro-mechanical devices on a modern vehicle.

Starting with Marybeth, it has always been a pleasure. Also, Dale was very helpful and always professional as well as fixed my Outback transmission quickly. I have no complaints and if someone's auto sat for a long time, there must have been a good reason. They have my Jeep now & I totally trust them to fix it!

It was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had with a shop! Dale had my truck for almost two months! Failed to do the work or respond when he said he would. They didn't work on the truck for weeks at a time! Everything about this was so unprofessional. This truck is how I make my money! I lost a month and a half of work because of this shop!
If I could send them a bill for the 6 weeks they didn't touch it, I would. They should be ashamed of how they treated this situation! I wouldn't advise using this shop if you need reliable service! If I could give a negative rating I would!

I'm very happy with the service and workmanship from LeRoux. Upfront about the time it'll take to having my vehicle repaired and back to me. They do excellent work and stand behind their work. I had trouble with a tranmission under warranty (faulty part, not workmanship), they tore it apart and rechecked, fixed, and replaced until it was working correctly without any hassle or expense on my part. Pleasure doing business with them!

Both of my cars have been serviced here, for minor work and major work (timing belt, cv's etc). Most importantly is that they are knowledgeable and honest, the fact that they are fair with their pricing is a bonus. AND, it doesn't seem to matter if you have a Vermont license plate or you're from out of state (I have both). I highly recommend them and I don't usually take the time to write a review but they certainly deserve 5 STARS! If you need a high quality repair shop with fair prices, call Leroux!

Leroux did some fairly major work on the manual transmission in my Subaru WRX about a year and a half ago. They were professional, very pleasant to deal with, finished the job earlier than originally estimated and charged a fair price. I have nothing but positive things to say about them and have no hesitation to recommend them to anyone needing mechanical repairs to their car. I would also not hesitate to use their services again if needed.

About 50% of the way into a roadtrip from Boston to Quebec, my friend's car's check engine light started coming on every few miles. We pulled over at the nearest rest stop which, thankfully, happened to be Leroux Brothers. The mechanic gave it a quick look and told my friend she needed a new transmission. He was even kind enough to talk to my friend's father to explain the problem.
When asked what happens if we drive on it anyway, he told us it was probably ok to get back to Boston. Not wanting to give up our travel plans, the women in the front office helped us find a rental company nearby and let us charge our phones. Although we weren't customers here, their customer service was beyond compare.
