Matthews Chevrolet

I was passing through the area on my way to Canada when I had an issue with my heat shield while on the highway. Due to a recent snowstorm most of the towns along I-81 were without power. I was able to find the service center information on my phone and came in without an appointment. The staff including Service advisor Brian, was very courteous, took my vehicle in right away, fixed the problem and had me on my way in ~30 min.

Appreciate their kindness, clearly explaining the problem (took me in the shop to show me) and getting it taken care of quickly. Great service, clean shop, open and large waiting area.

The absolute worst buying experience ever. Tried forcing me into a 7k " service and warranty package they called it ". Rushed me through the entire buying process. Approved at dealer. They rushed me in to sign all the papers for new car i gave them my trade. A week later get a phone call saying loans denied. Mind you I have 800 credit score. And I now have to return the vechile I drove off the lot.how does this even happen.

I'm not sure what kind of scams this place is running. But I will assure every single person I come in contact with to never spend a single pennies with these people. AVOID THESE DEALERSHIPS

In the past I feel I have been treated fairly at Matthews but as of today I am disappointed and infuriated. My wife took her vehicle in to have her wheel baring looked at and possibly replaced. The technician working on her vehicle quoted her on a price AND decided that she needed new brakes, rotors, and tires. Thankfully a member of my family had worked as a technician in a dealership for many years before moving up to manager in another auto business, and recognized that the front brakes were at 85% and rear brakes were at 100% the rotors were also in good working order. Regardless, of if the technician made a mistake or was flat out trying to up-sell my wife I can safely say I will no longer be using matthews as my place of service.

Matthews Auto Collision let me drive my car off their lot in unsafe condition. I would never recommend their service to anyone I care about. Their service led to further damage to my vehicle. The auto shop didn't fully inspect my car after my accident. They also failed to test drive my car after having it in their auto shop for over a month. I was horrified by the customer service I received. Joe Pickard, who is the service manager at Matthews Auto Collision, was extremely rude and admitted to me that they failed to test drive and fully inspect my car. If this horrible service is not fixed by them, the next step will be them speaking with my lawyer.

I live in Watertown, NY and was selling my vehicle as my wife and I decided we did not need two cars. After talking with Linda Hammecker through email, I was so impressed with what she had to say that I bypassed all the Watertown dealerships and set up an appointment. Linda is an excellent representative, and extremely good at what she does. When I came to Matthews Nissan of Clay in Syracuse NY, I was greeted by Zachary Ispahani, and we started the process right away.

The offer that they made me for my vehicle was not only fair, but was more than what I expected! The process was quick and easy and Zachary did an outstanding job, and I was also extremely impressed with his professionalism and competence. He even furnished me with a ride home! Matthews Auto Group is extremely lucky to have fine employees like these two!

I normally do not do reviews, but I felt compelled to write a review in this case. If you are looking for a dealership that does things right without all of the BS involved, I would highly recommend Matthews Nissan of Clay. It is well worth the drive!
