I absolutely love this dealership! Mari and Bri are extremely knowledgeable and kind, they really make sure you're taken care of. Tim and Myron are great too. I will always go to them for all of my automotive needs.

UPDATE: This is now the worst Mazda Service Center I've had the displeasure of using. I've been here 3 times in the last month & keep shelling out money one visit at a time. Granted, it's a 2008 with almost 200K miles, but the inefficiency of service is what has driven me insane. 1. Initial visit was to get normal servicing & fix a damaged fog light.

I show up, get the servicing & am told the car is in excellent shape but they need to order the part for the fog light. why wasn't it ordered so it would be there for my visit? No clue. So I reschedule to return; however, due to short staff on the weekend I need to take a day of leave to come back during the week. 2. Back to get the fog light installed. Looks good, but this time they note my rear wheel bearings are going bad & am advised to come back.

Why wasn't this caught on the first visit? No clue. I leave planning to reschedule, then pulling into my driveway I hear a grinding noise when I turn the wheel full right. 3. I speak on the phone w/ the service advisor regarding the wheel bearings & replacement tires as mine are 2015. I offer to discuss / select the tires on the phone, but he says "Nope! We'll just discuss it on Saturday." We also agree that I'll receive a loaner as, again, they're short staffed on weekends so I'll drop it off, have a loaner & they can take their time fixing it right.

I bring my wife & child from Valdosta on Saturday morning and guess what? NO LOANER! Fantastic. He scrambles to make sure the wheel bearings can be installed, says it'll take 2 hours, and we box the tires (even though they would've had them on hand if we had discussed them on the phone like I wanted)because it'll take too long & suddenly he doesn't think they're so bad.

It takes 4 hours, not 2, and after investigating the noise they determine my struts are going bad, but he says not to worry it's only in certain circumstances. well, as we are driving home it grinds frequently & can't be good. He quoted me to replace them, but I will not be returning to this Service Department. My car honestly seemed in better shape before they touched it. ORIGINAL POST: Excellent service & management.

I drive 2hrs to get my Mazda serviced at Gem. Recently, I mistakenly arrived to pick up my car after the service department closed. They were extremely accommodating, verified the work was done, & accepted payment so I could get my car & drive home. Simply an outstanding, caring group of folks.

I had the best experience purchasing a car at Gem Mazda that I have ever had in my life- TWICE. Yes, the customer service was so top notch that I immediately called my amazing saleswoman, Briannah Rivero, the second we needed to make another purchase. From the get-go Briannah's knowledge, expertise, and downright enthusiasm for the brand sold me. And the rest of the staff- from finance to the service department- are also stellar.

Everyone went far out of their way to make me an extremely satisfied customer. I happily refer this team to anyone who asks, and when we need another car, I'll be calling Briannah at Gem Mazda, and no place else. Thank you so much!

Very professional and transparent service center. Communication is very important and they excel. They provide video of your car while it is in shop and require a web form to authorize further charges. Makes service very convenient

Went here for an oil change. Gregory and Joanna were very kind and took phenomenal care of me. Afterwards, I checked the oil and it appeared about 1/2qt overfilled. When I called for clarification, David said the oil capacity of my vehicle was higher (5.3qt) than the owner's manual specification (4.8qt), and even stated this again after I told him the owner's manual specification and my overfull oil level readings.

Since this discrepancy is exactly half a quart, I decided to go to the dealership and see if they could get it lowered to the proper level. Joanna was very welcoming and wanted to help sort out the issue (she also showed me their chart displays the correct oil capacity). They showed me the oil level was about 1/4qt overfull in their shop (the man in the shop stated certainly under 1/4qt overfull).

The man in the shop who showed me said it was fine, but Joanna told me they would get it to the correct level. After leaving, I decided to check my oil again. I tested it twice in my apartment parking lot and two more times in separate parking lots (waiting 5-10 minutes after turning the vehicle off, on two surfaces that appeared level, and a slight incline up and down).

To my surprise, it was overfull every time I checked it (even slightly angled up). It appeared to be exactly the same as it was when I brought it in to be lowered (somewhere between 1/2qt and 1/4qt overfull for all locations I tested). Overall it is a very nice and welcoming place, but the unwillingness to help from David (due to his certainty in an invalid oil capacity value) and the man working in the shop along with my own oil checks before and after taking it in give me negative feelings about the overall experience.

Even 1/2qt overfull likely won't cause issues, but I prefer to stick to the owner's manual suggestion of not overfilling to avoid engine damage. I will sort out how to drain the excess oil in my apartment parking lot and will go back to doing future oil changes myself.

My visit wasn't particular bad it just wasn't great. Staff were ok. When I checked out the service tech just sorta slide the paperwork over to me. Didn't bother to explain anything or talk to me about my vehicle until I asked. When got to my car I noticed dirt stains on the seat that wasn't there before. Other Mazda dealerships have bonus services like vacuuming the floor and even a car wash.

Obviously that's going the extra mile but I did miss the VIP treatment I've gotten at other dealership. Certainly wasn't worth the drive across town. Response to owner: The wash and vac was an example of previously dealerships going the extra mile, compared to the service I felt like got here.

I visited the dealership for the first time and left in a new Mazda. Michael Cabral and Chris Koromvokis made the experience really positive and simple. They really took the time to educate me on the car I was considering and all of my options. It was unlike any car-buying experience I've ever had. Everyone I encountered during my time there was so nice and welcoming.

The Gem Mazda service department is the best service department I've ever used. They are very accommodating for appointments. They are polite and keep you updated on your vehicle. The waiting area is nice, clean and comfortable.

Service department is subpar. Went in a few months ago with an electrical issue under warranty for my MX5. At check in the service writer attempted to upsell me a transmission service (my car has less than 30k miles). When I challenged him on it he said it was a "dealer recommendation". That evening I did a little research and learned that this transmission - according to Mazda should never need servicing.

The first trip back after the electrical repair I got home to discover the issue was not fixed. After second trip to dealer I discovered that the newest fix made my key fob inoperable. Had to make third trip back to dealer to resolve the key issue. Two additional trips to dealership to resolve my issue that could have been avoided had the service department done basic Quality Control on their service.

To add insult to injury, the car was filthy each time it was returned - grease prints on every surface the mechanic touched, come on man you guys can do better than this! If you need help - go spend some time over at the Acura dealer to see how it should be done.

RECALL RELATED tl;dr My vehicle is now far more dangerous to drive following the recall "fix" implemented by GEM Mazda in Tallahassee and the service tech was rude to my wife I needed to get my wife's Mazda CX-7 looked at for an airbag recall. The recall stated that takata airbags were unsafe, and could explode with enough force to spray metal shrapnel.

This was obviously not ideal, so I made an appointment. Aside from the airbag, the vehicle had been driving fine with no steering issues. My wife took it down to Gem Mazda from Valdosta, GA (200 mile round trip). The service department told her they were going to fix another recall issue as well (lower control arms which are steering related). This control arm "fix" totally screwed up the steering for the vehicle.

It went from perfect and responsive to loose, mushy, with excessive play. After creating the issue, they informed my wife it was dangerous (yeah, thanks) and that she could pay them 350 dollars to fix it (awesome, thanks). They then tried to compel her to sign disclaimer documentation stating that it was unsafe, and when she refused the tech rolled his eyes as if she was being unreasonable.

Their reasoning for not helping? They said that it was "probably about to go bad soon anyways". To me, that sounds like speculation. I've called corporate about 5 times, and emailed them, and to date no one has done anything to rectify the issue. To sum up, there is a possibility they will: a) create an expensive issue, b) try to make you pay for the issue they created, c) patronize you, and d) try to get you to disclaim safety liability for their screw-up So, if you have a recall, maybe avoid this dealership if possible.

I love Mazda and have a Mazda. The sales staff are nice enough, but I had a pain dealing with them. First, their service department uncharges parts that I can get cheaper from Atlanta Mazda dealerships. And we're not talking a little difference either. I needed parts and Gem Mazda was charging $1200 and I could get them from Atlanta shipped to me from a Mazda dealership for $750.

I was considering a trade-in and was offered $6,000. A few months later that went down to $5,000. They offered me $6,000 when it needed $500 worth of work. Since then, I had work done and had it repainted as it had some sun damage during the previous quote. I actually laughed at their trade-in offer, their desire to sell me a new car at full MSRP and asked for my keys. I had to tell them at least 5x to give me my keys before they did. If I was needing a new Mazda, I'd take a greyhound to Orlando before I return to Gem Mazda.

Really good car buying experience. Kayla was easy to work with and made me feel perfectly comfortable. Nice change from my past experiences with car dealerships. I'm having a blast with my new Miata. Lot of car for the money.

Steve in the service department is absolutely amazing. Through a series of utterly incompetent steps, I broke the windshield wiper off of a friend's Mazda 3. Steve in the service department could not have been more helpful and kind, when I told him the absurd story he made every effort to get the part as quickly and cheaply as possible. I have been to many car dealerships. The employees are always friendly, but Steve in service went above and beyond the call. I would recommend their service department to anyone.

I had the most wonderful experience at Gem Mazda! I was lucky enough to receive Markus Brockman from the sales staff. Markus was incredibly knowledgeable, and before long he had us on the road test driving vehicles that fit our specific needs. Sometimes when a person is checking into cars there is a lot of pressure to make a decision they may regret later, this was never the case here at Gem Mazda.

The entire staff made my girlfriend and I comfortable and completely informed throughout the entire process. The service staff went as far as to provide free maintenance summing up to around 175 dollars just to ensure that we were 100% satisfied with our car. The next time I purchase a new or used car I am coming back to Markus Brockman here at Gem Mazda.

Today was my second time at Gem for a simple oil change and tire rotation. Each time, the staff was very courteous and quick. They finished my oil change and tire rotation in about 45 minutes even though I was late to my appointment AND forgot my ticket. They called for me to get my service account numbers.
