Medway Imports

I would not recommend Medway Imports. The owner, Barry, is not by pleasant to interact with and the service was poor. The vehicle looked great when I test drove it but when I picked it up it was filthy - covered in pollen and bird poop. They did not wash it before turning it over, the drivers side floor mats were very dirty, sticky stuff in the center console and it had less than 3 gallons of gas.

Oil life was at 23%. Additionally, they sat on filing for the registration once info was sent and also delayed picking up the registration when it was ready. The RMV completed registration in the morning and when I called the dealership Barry let me know they couldn't get the registration that day because the RMV "won't let them in the building past 3PM".

When I called the RMV to verify, the woman I spoke with said they are open until 5PM and there is no policy restricting folks from picking up registration after 3PM (aside from the fact that Medway Imports knew the registration was ready for pickup earlier that morning.). Barry and his team did not call me when the truck was ready for pick up, I had to call them to ask and that's when I was told it was ready. All in all this was an unpleasant experience and I will not be doing business with them in the future and recommend those reading this do not either.

Barry is amazing, my husband bought a bueatiful new truck! He made it so easy he did everything with as smile and made it fun. Thanks Barry! Everyone should buy a car here. I would give it 10 stars

Good peeps. Honest pricing. They don't treat women like idiots as most mechanics do. So far so good with them. Just got my car back from them replacing my transmission. They went above and beyond and took care of me (my beloved car) as if their own kids were driving it. Finally found the mechanics i've been looking for. You guys got me for life. Grateful.

I've taken all three of my vehicles here and have been very happy with all visits. First was a failed inspection, second was a headlight housing replacement and the third was correcting work done from another establishment. Each time got quality work done by a knowledgeable friendly staff for a fair price. Would highly recommend.

In my 40 years of buying vehicles Barry Roth made my experience one of the best ever! Barry took me from the beginning to the end on the deal and everything went smooth. Working with Barry was great. I purchased a car in Canada via private party sale and needed it imported to the US. I spoke to a few companies and hung up the phone feeling a bit unsettled as they all had different answers and processes. I was given Barry's number from another dealership who I am friendly with. On the first call with Barry - my worries were gone.

He took the reins, organized the pickup, transporting and took care of importing. Once the car was in the states I went to inspect it and sign some paperwork. A few weeks later I went back to pick up the car, had them install a new battery and I was on my way. It couldn't have been easier and I absolutely will use Barry (and Mark) at Medway Imports again!

Barry and his team are great. The team is very thorough, honest, and extremely fair. We drive over 45 minutes to bring our cars for all service. They've also always provided us with a loaner car while our cars are being serviced. They are the best around by far, you will not be disappointed! Service: General repairs & maintenance

I auctioned a car on Bring a Trailer. Barry purchased this vehicle for one of his customers. I had never auctioned a car nor had sold a car to a private party--I have only traded cars at the dealer, so I was bit nervous as to how this transaction would transpire. Let me tell you, Barry made this transaction very easy and worry free. The auction was complete on Monday. Barry called me and walked me through the process on Monday afternoon.

He wired funds into my account on Tuesday morning. He scheduled a auto transport service to pick up the car on Wednesday. Wednesday evening the car was packed up and on it's way to it's new owner. I have to say the process was easier than any dealer experience. Thanks Barry!

I almost bought a car from this dealer and was very interested in a 2018 Ford Expedition Max Limited they had. After test riding, I asked why the engine bay was so filthy (it was in an absolutely terrible state for a 3 year old car). There was also considerably more rust than usual on the undercarriage, possibly because it was a Canadian truck. I got a response they they never clean or do anything with the engine bay and it kind of is what it is -- and the rust was normal.

Fair enough.maybe -- I loved the truck after driving it and made an offer which was rejected flat out, so I told the sales guy I was very interested anyway and wanted to work out a deal as it had some nice options. He told me he would get my number to the owner who would call me back, I never got a call. I left an email message via their website a day later and never got a call back or email response either.

I called a few days after that and made another offer over the phone, the same sales guy wouldn't budge even a few hundred dollars on a $55k used car, when I asked if he would throw in a free tank of gas if I purchased at thier list price, he very grudgingly said yes. He did agree to allow me to take the truck to a Ford dealer to get a pre-purchase inspection.

I agreed to purchase the truck at their list price if it had a clean bill of health from Ford. During the course of arranging all this, I had to talk to the same guy over the phone a few times. Each time I spoke with him, I felt like he was trying to rush me off the phone or I was inconveniencing him in some way or that he wasn't taking me seriously or at best, maybe he was lazy or it was just his rushed manner -- who knows.

He just didn't give me any warm and fuzzy feelings about dropping $55k on a used truck. The morning I was going to take the truck to Ford in Franklin, I was chatting with my wife and just decided that there was too much wrong in they way they handled customers and sales. I kept thinking. what if there were to be some problem with the Truck after the purchase -- forget it, they wouldn't do anything for me. Anyway, It bothered me enough to doubt the validity of the deal or have any confidence in the dealer, so I canceled. can't really speak for much else except in my case at least, they didn't seem much interested in selling cars.

I really don't like to leave crappy reviews, but it may help them think about how they deal with serious prospective buyers In the future. I can tell you, they one hundred percent lost a cash sale (at thier list price) -- all because of poor salesmanship. I bought a 2019 Expedition a few days later from Long Cadillac in Southboro for a few thousand more -- all because I lost confidence in this dealer. 6 weeks later, I checked and they still haven't sold that truck -- I can't say I'm surprised. Don't let it stop you from looking though, they have some very nice cars, but be aware of the aforementioned.

I was a little hesitant at first buying from a small dealership but I am so glad I came to Medway Imports. I had been looking a while for the car I wanted with low miles and a reasonable price. When i called to ask about it, Barry told me to come on in and check it out. Everyone there was pleasant and Barry helped me with all the paperwork needed for my bank and insurance as this was my first time financing a car.

He also advised me to sell my old car instead of trying to trade in with them, telling me I would get more money that way. The whole process was no nonsense and fast. When I went to pick up my car it was detailed and nearly new and I did have a smile on my face the whole way home, just like he promised! A bonus - his adorable pup Charlie, who I hope to see again when I bring the car in for maintenance.

We bought a 2017 Ford 150 from Medway Motors last summer (2020). The vehicle has been great for us. Not one issue. We felt it was well priced and we were treated well. I would definitely buy from Medway Imports again. The title took a little while to get, but it came in sooner than I was promised which made me feel good about it. Great experience.

Barry is truly here to make his customers happy, comfortable, and able to drive away in the vehicle of their dreams. A very honest guy who will do what it takes to get a deal done that is fair and makes his customers feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Very professional dealership, there are no gimmicks here or any hassle. The dealership only provides top of the line vehicles on their lot.

Every vehicle is in pristine condition and inspected and cleaned with a fine tooth comb prior to even being shown on the lot, let alone sold. I went in with only intentions on looking and left a customer of Barry's for life.

Unfortunately I have to break with the 5 star reviews. I recently bought a 2014 F-150 Lariat through Medway. What they did well: Prompt in answering emails and up front about pricing. The actual purchase process was relatively painless and I got what I asked for with my trade. It helped that I brought my own financing. What didn't go so well: The hub(s) failed not 1, not 2 but 3 times!

To be fair Medway did replace the hubs but it became clear that there was something else wrong with the truck causing this. The first two repairs were very prompt but the third took over two weeks to get in the shop. On top of this truck was miserable to drive on the highway, the backend was very floaty and there was a constant heavy vibration through the pedals and seat. Medway kept saying everything was causing by the bearings (clearly not) In the end I got rid of the truck, It was clear that it was never going to be completely fixed. Very disappointed

The people at Medway Imports are top notch! I reached out to them for a pre-purchase inspection last minute. They did all the leg work. Barry, reached out to the selling dealer, set up the appointment with them, thoroughly went over the vehicle, and spent time to give me genuine feedback so I could make an informed buying decision. Thank you.

Barry and Steve are AWESOME! Can't say enough good things about Medway Imports! Will definitely continue to bring my Mini Cooper there for service.

I cannot say enough good things about Barry & his team. My car has been a nightmare but he welcomes me back every time ready to tackle whatever problem I have for him. He is kind, knowledgeable & trustworthy. He will show you exactly what needs to be done. Our family is very unlucky with cars but I am grateful to have found Medway Imports!

I was very impressed with Medway Imports. I can't speak for the sales side, but Barry remains kind, patient, and knowledgeable. He didn't try to inflate the price, kept time charged to a minimal level, and was willing to service parts rather than replace them. This is the kind of approach I desire and value from a regular repair shop -- courteous, respectful of my time and theirs, and willing to discuss the best plan for repair. I left feeling like Medway Imports is invested in a good experience for me, and wants me to return -- I will.

I'm 53 years old, I've been buying used cars my entire life. I even worked as a used car salesman for a short time back in the 80's. I'm very familiar with how the game works, I don't mind playing if it's required. A few years ago, I spotted a Corolla on the lot here and stopped by to inquire about it. I liked the kid out on the lot that showed me the car, and I intended to by it.

But when we went inside to sit down, his "manager" came in to close the deal. all I can say is that my intelligence was extremely insulted. Do I look like I just fell off the back of a turnip truck? I looked across the room at the kid, he was squirming in his chair uncomfortably, couldn't look me in the eye. I figured I'd play the game with this clown, if that's the way he wanted to do it, but I finally had to walk out.

In my opinion, this was one of the sleaziest used car dealers I have ever dealt with. And that says a lot. Maybe they do a good job in the repair shop, but based on my experience with that "manager", I don't think I'd want to take the chance.

I've been going to Meday Imports for several years now. I've had them work on both my Escalade and BMW. They have always been available to MY timelines, as well as up front and honest when it came down to my options. I've also found them to have reasonable pricing. Recently, I brought my vehicle in and Medway Imports diagnosed some known issues and some that I wasn't aware of.

In discussing my options with Steve, I decided to not fix my vehicle and trade it in instead. Steve didn't charge me for the diagnostic work performed. The level of honesty is immensely appreciated and has created a loyal customer. It has taken me a long time to find an honest, reliable mechanic that I can trust, and I am glad I have found that in Medway Imports!

Barry and his team have exceeded all of my expectations. The most professional, honest and stress free experience I have ever had. What started as the typical "oh my god, I can't believe my car is broken down" - turned into piece of mind, just down the street. Thank you Barry and team! I wish there were more than 5 stars. You earned them.

I have a Triumph TR6 and contacted Medway Imports to see if they worked on Triumphs. I spoke to Barry and he said they absolutely do. I took the TR6 there to replace a frozen ignition switch. The work was completed quickly and at reasonable cost. Barry is great to deal with and I am looking forward to an extended relationship with him and Medway Imports when it comes to working on my Triumph.
