My first encounter with Paramount Kia Hickory was with their service department. As we were new to the area. We have recently traded our Kia Optima for a new K5. Nick Thomas our sales associate was the greatest. he listened to what I wanted and got me exactly what I wanted. He got us the car we were looking for with absolutely no pressure. OUTSTANDING. I received outstanding service from the entire Paramount Kia of Hickory team when I stopped to check out a used Jeep while I was passing through North Carolina, on vacation from out of state. Gates worked with me and answered all my questions (and I asked him a lot of questions). When I decided to trade in my Jeep to them and make the purchase, Gates, Evan and Jesse did everything they could to make the purchase easy and accommodating.

The communication with them throughout the process was easy, simple and productive, even with being still on vacation while we worked out the details. The process went very smoothly, even with the purchase made from several states away. The entire staff was very helpful, Raymond was wonderful in completing his special retrieval mission, polite, friendly and efficient, the service team with their unplanned task and I even appreciated the salesman who simply stopped to chat with me about the Jeep I was purchasing and Jeeps in general on the day I made the purchase.

The staff is friendly, kind, patient and very respectful. And based on my research about this vehicle for the months prior to stopping and seeing it and then buying it, I think it was a fair price. I am very pleased and would definitely do business with this team again. I am also essentially driving my dream vehicle right now, I could not possibly ask for more from it.

Today I purchased a 2022 Kia Sorento from Tim Whitener! This is my first car that I have bought on my own and this will be a experience I will never forget! Tim was very helpful and informative on the Kia I purchased. He went over every bit of the car and made sure I had no questions at all! My husband and I had a wonderful experience buying our Telluride through the sale representative Gates, March 25th of this year. My previous vehicle was an Audi Q7, which was too small for our family of 5. 3 children under 4 years of age fit so comfortably in my new Kia Telluride now! My husband is Active Duty in the Military and we needed a bigger SUV ASAP for our big move to Texas.

My husband and I had spent 3 days due diligence looking up every Kia Telluride within 100 miles of my hometown and none of the dealerships were as straight forward as Paramount Kia of Hickory. The dealership also purchased top dollar for my Audi trade in. We can't recommend Gates and his team enough! We are so appreciative for such honest straightforward people who kept all their promises to us since there wasn't enough time to get all documentation for the vehicle before my husband had to report to TX.

I would also like to add that we were in the process of buying our 2 home and Paramount Kia of Hickory jumped through hoops to provide our lender with the documentation needed so we didn't lose the finance of our home purchase.

Wow! My husband and I had the best experience with Jesse Powell. We had talked to Jesse about selling my husband's vehicle. We went in to see what he could do for us, it was the quickest and easiest process I have ever seen! Just chatting on the way out Jesse was able to find me my dream car! He spent all the time we needed to understand every feature on the vehicle and how it could fit into our life!

We had no intentions of buying when we walked in but he made the process so easy and perfect that we couldn't say no! Jesse was kind enough to check up on us after we got home to ensure there were no issues and that all our questions were answered. It was so nice to be able to ask all of those things you forgot to when you were there!

I called the day before to get some information about the vehicle I was interested in and talked to Cody. He was very informative and kind. GO SEE ELI! I ended up not purchasing my vehicle from Paramount; however, I will be back when it comes time to trade my current one in or purchase another! I cannot sing enough praises for Eli. he is kind, personal, and as honest as they come! I went to the dealership a couple of times over the past month. and he was prepared and helpful every visit! I was pleased with the experience of buying my new Rio. I only looked at one vehicle. The salesman listened to what I said I wanted and made choosing the right vehicle easy. Only test drove one vehicle and it was exactly what I was looking for. All my questions were answered. And the paperwork was a breeze not having to write my name a hundred times. Bought my 1st new car at Kia was nervous about the whole process and I can't say enough how amazing Cody the sales rep was. He had all the answers he was very polite and helpful. Walked me through everything with patience. Paramount Kia is the best dealership in hickory. If you want a vehicle new or used this is the place to go! The salesperson I worked with was Cody, and he was very intelligent, kind, and listened very very well. He was able to fit my needs to the perfect car. I traded in my mirage for more than I expected to get, and was able to negotiate a car payment I wanted for a brand new k5. The car is beautiful and the experience was even better. I would recommend anyone and everyone to get to this dealership, find Cody, and buy yourself a beautiful new Kia!

The ordeal I had with this place is much too long and complicated to share it all. Long story short. They had my NEW car for almost 2 months and no courtesy or consideration to call or keep me informed. I had to contact them when and IF I actually got to speak to someone. Hands down. I would say STAY away from this place.

Wish I had read the reviews first, but here is my experience: I came in with what I initially thought was a minor issue (and turned out to be a idler pulley that needed to be replaced). Instead, I ended up getting my brakes replaced (pads and rotors) and being quoted close to $1500 dollars in work, most of it unnecessary. For example, I was told that due to the condition my tires, as well as a rear light, were in, that I wouldn't be able to pass an inspection.

Despite having done so 5 days prior. I was also quoted windshield wipers and an unnecessary fuel treatment for a car like mine with low mileage. Due to the deception, I'm not currently sure if the work on my brakes was necessary either. Worst of all, I was told that the issue that originally brought me from Boone to their shop had been fixed, and it was not.

Perhaps even worse then that, I don't believe they ever checked on the issue as another mechanic diagnosed the issue in less than a minute and was covered by my warranty, unlike the work that was done. Perhaps this is common sense, but be very cautious and try to do as much research as you can before you bring your vehicle here. You might be mislead or, in my case, lied to and leave paying more than required.

Best experience I have ever had buying a vehicle! Eli was very knowledge, friendly, and just made the experience fun and not stressful. I can say the same with the service department as well. If you are interested in a Kia I suggest you look at ANY other Kia dealership other than this one. Tried for 2 weeks to get info on a car I was interested in and not one person was willing to call back even if you called their direct cell phone number. When you would call and get someone on the phone they would tell you they would check and call you back.

No return call. Had a deal in place after 2 weeks of back and forth on a car and car was sold out from under me. Called first thing in the morning, told the salesman I had been working with I wanted the car at the deal we agreed to and he said "ok I'll tell my sales manager and will call you back in about an hour. No return call. I made repeated phone calls throughout the day and talked to numerous people. ALL of them said they would check on the situation and call back. NONE OF THEM DID!

This was true of sales team, finance manager, Sales Manager & GM. Finally at the end of the day the salesman I originally called at the start of the morning called and said "sorry i've been busy, we sold the car today. Never mind we had a deal in place just waiting on a call back! If you read the other reviews you'll notice a common theme. no one cares to call a customer back. Even customers who are ready and willing to purchase a car. This dealership doesn't deserve any business and good luck to anyone trying to do business with them!

Forget this place. Salesman couldn't find a car in the color I wanted, so he instead wasted my time by insulting me to my boyfriend and pressuring us to get water. go anywhere else.

First Review I've ever written and I hate to but it's honestly the worst customer service I've ever encountered! Long story short I purchased a used Honda Insight and had driving issues from the start where the car jerks during take off. My vehicle began not starting as well which they did fix but said they won't pay for the original issue of the car jerking during take off. Also DVD players in the headrests don't work. I spoke with so many people and was promised call backs each time and not once did they call back.

Highly dissatisfied. I came here in 2014 looking at their inventory of the 2013 Kia Soul +. (clearance and used.) They were selling them WAY over priced, I believe the cheapest started at $28k and up. I did sit down with a sales rep to see how our payments would look, and they told us that since we lived out of state (military) we couldn't buy a car from them.

Which is completely BS, because I've bought cars in other states before. Speaking of the one I bought right down the road after I left that day. I ended up buying a Kia Soul + for $17k, +$10k less than Paramount Kia! Fast forward a year later, I came back home, and filed a warranty claim on the speaker in our Kia Soul. So, we ended up getting sent to Paramount Kia, for them to replace our speaker that was blown.

When they brought my car out, the speaker STILL rattled and was STILL blown. I made them "change" it yet again, and the second time they actually did the job. Kia is the best car to buy, but don't do it here. The cars are over priced, the sales reps are incredibly smart a** and don't like to do their jobs right the first time around.
