The story of today's Master Automotive began in 1926 when a young Walter Schlapp arrived in Augusta from Germany to take a job arranged for him by a U.S. citizen who spent his summers in Germany.

I was driving my daughter's stuff from college home to Maryland and the transmission went bad in my Chevy Suburban. After being turned away from another dealership in the Augusta area, I pulled up to the Master Buick GMC Service Department. I first met Carl and he let me know that he would not turn me away and he would fit me in their schedule (even though they were booked) to get my car looked at. David T stepped up next and said that he would have one of the tech's on his team look at my car. David was professional throughout the entire process and thoroughly explained what the diagnosis (bad transmission) from the tech was.

I knew I was in great hands with David as he described what the next steps were and offered me a ride since it would be about a week before the new transmission was going to be delivered. David answered every question I had and kept me updated on the status of my car. Great news was that the service department techs were able to fix my car 2 days ahead of schedule. Thank You very much to David and the rest of the service department for their professionalism.
