I had a tremendous experience test driving cars with Sales Consultant Dennis Akselrod this past week. Before I even stepped into the dealership, Dennis worked hard looking into the availability of the 2 Toyota 4Runners I was looking to test drive. He looked right into it, called me back within 5 minutes. I asked about another car, he looked into it called me right back again 5 minutes later.

I went into the dealership to test drive them later that afternoon and Dennis was there waiting for us. We immediately got on the road with the first vehicle and he was very knowledgeable answering my questions and providing excellent customer service. For having so many different brands of used cars, I was impressed by his knowledge of the Toyotas.

He then for the next vehicle ran up the road to the other Bob Johnson and brought it to the location we were at so I could test drive that one as well. He was not pushy whatsoever with a sales pitch and was very knowledgeable about my questions about buying the car in New York but registering it in Florida with a transfer plate. I would recommend doing business with him and Bob Johnson to anyone. Thanks for a great, non-pushy sales experience Dennis!

Truck was dropped off for oil change and for diagnosis of back tailgate release button. The Button did not work and has not worked for a month. Easy to see a new one is needed. I dropped the truck off at 1:39 pm. After one hour and twenty minutes I approached the service desk at 3:00 pm. The service agent stated he would go and find out what state the truck was in.

After no return of infomration from him I approached the desk again at 4:00pm. ANOTHER HOUR after I had inquired. It took over 2.25 Hours to complete an oil change and to tell me that my tailgate did not work. When asked to make an additional appointment I was told that I would be notified when the part was in. That time frame for a brand new 2022 GMC 2500 is a bit out there considering the truck is new.

No motion to apologize for the delay in the service was made. Maybe a, sorry or Hey we are going to cover the oil change for the addtional wait time would have been sufficent. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS SERVICE CENTER!

Bob Johnson. Not sure how to put this, but I truly wish that they haven't purchased half of the decent dealerships in the Rochester area. Every since they have, it's been poor organization and service. I understand what the Pandemic has done to most of the dealership but let's make it manageable for the people. I have my vehicle in for repair after a deer accident and they told me parts will be 2 months until they are in. "since it was still drivable".

Two and a half months later they called me to bring in my vehicle. Currently it's been a month since I've dropped my vehicle off and it's still not repaired. Why would I ever bring in a running functional vehicle if parts are still back ordered. Communication is horrible! Still paying for a rental car "out of pocket" since they will not help, and are not actively trying to help me in any form other then to call corporate. Expectation so high but surely disappointed.

Do not use this service department. I dropped my car off to get an oil change, my ongoing shift to park issue with my GMC Acadia and my cruise control issue. I dropped off while on vacation so they had 4 and 1/2 full business days to fix these issues. First issue was while I bought out my lease and extended warranty from Bob Johnson they couldn't find it because they don't talk to each other.

In addition after having my car for 4.5 days I still have the driver assist error and cannot use my cruise control. No mention that they couldn't fix it was made. So basically it took then 4 days to do my oil change. Extremely frustrated that my car still has error messages. Also buying your lease and warranty from them still doesn't make using it easy so be sure to get your services done where it works best For you.

100%, Absolutely, The MOST Terrible experience! After my vehicle was rear ended I had it towed in to their collision shop for a estimate on 2-9-22. As Patrick Buick GMC, they have done shotty work on my Buick LaCrosse in the past but have been one of the only dealerships around until I found Spurr Chevrolet in Brockport, NY. I received a call just this week (3-11-22) to let me know that, not only was my estimate FINALLY complete, the person who hit my vehicle's insurance provider has now closed there case, before BJ south had the opportunity to get it in for a estimate.

This was said to be closed due to "The lack of mitigation to cost accrued on MY PART." LOL (Stating storage fees.) When BJ South did finally call me for the fist time a month later, they also informed me that they do not have a GM Certified technician who can fix my specific vehicle, although it was purchased THERE! BJ's South (Patrick Formally) sold me this vehicle. now they say they cannot fix it?

Keep in mind, per SOP at GM. THIS IS A GMC, CHEVEROLET AND BUICK DEALSERSHIP WHO IS CONTRACTED TO EMPLOY A GM CERTIFIED TECHNITION, OR THEY CANNOT SELL THE VEHICLES. THEY ALSO CANNOT MAINTAIN NOR FIX THESE VEHICLES TH EY SELL US. General Motors has been notified and hopefully I can get my vehicle back in a safe operating condition and not have to pay out of pocket for THEIR lack of expediency and concern in estimating the damage to my vehicle in a timely manner.

It's been an extremely tough month+, with 4 school aged children, A Disabled Combat Veteran husband, unable to work, and a diagnosis of Multiple sclerosis, making NEARLY EVERYTHING IN DAILY LIFE MORE DIFFICULT. Being left with only one household vehicle for OVER ONE MONTH! WITH NOT ONE EVEN ONCE CALLING TO OFFER US A COURTESY VEHICLE, AND EVEN AFTER WE ASKED FOR A LOANER/ COURTESY VEHICLE, NONE WERE SUPPOSEDLY AVAILABLE. JUST LIKE THEIR HYBRID TECHNITION. MY FUTURE BUSINESS WITH THEM AND MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS FUTURE BUSINESS WITH THEM AS WELL.

I WILL CERTAINLY NEVER BE BACK AND I HOPE ANYONE WHO MAY BE READING, PLEASE. TAKE MY ADVICE AND KEEP MOVING ALONG TO THE NEXT "DEALERSHIP"! PS; If it could not get too much worse when it comes to communication with your customers. The attached photo is one of "their ingenious fix" after they realized that the trunk now opens on its own, intermittently, per there electronic trunk release.

Rather than simply closing it, disconnecting the battery and not draing/ destroying my battery. They had decided to use a rug covering, sticky, painters plastic to hold my trunk closed. It didn't hold it closed, rather it was unlatched and open enough to allow the trunk light to stay on for weeks without notifying me. I am at a loss for the best course of action at this point.

It's unbecoming of an opportunity to meet the standards of today's industry and falling THIS short. Someone should be dealing with this issue before other people are taken advantage of!

Service writer was very professional. However, they did not tighten the drivers side strut tower which caused an issue a few weeks later. The strut tower was loosened so they could replace a failed lifter and bent push rod. Note- This 2021 Yukon had 9,000 miles on it and they only replaced that one lifter and not the whole bank. Not, going back. Took the Yukon to Victor Chevrolet to tighten the loose strut tower. I have had this SUV for 7 months and it has been in the shop 2 of those months. I am strongly, considering and GM buy back.

I had my battery replaced and the service was great. Two weeks later my car shuts off while driving and I had to have it towed back to the dealer. I thought it was an electrical problem but it turns out it was a loose battery terminal. Not happy! If you tighten the terminal properly the first time this doesn't happen. This cost me time and money and 5 days without a car because of Thanksgiving. Do the job right the first time, that's what I paid you for!

Mark and his team had Excellent Customer Service! I had just had a bad experience at the Hyundai dealership. Bob Johnson sales, particularly the salesmen Mark Houser and his son Mark, Jr., helped me find the perfect car for my mom in a hurry. I came from out of town to help her get a new car and my time was limited. They were very attentive to what I needed.

They even let me test drive cars to her house so she could see it and drive it. Mark Sr. went above and beyond then connected me with his son who had the car I was looking for at another location. This was a great experience Bob Johnson. Mom got the perfect car! I will return if I ever need another car and a great experience in Rochester.
