Sames Red Barn Motors Used Cars

I bought a car from this place then wanted to cash in on the referral bonus they had going. My friend bought a car and I've tried 4 times to get my bonus. They would laugh lie and even called the cops on me when I said I'd wait for a manager! This is the worst experience of my life! Do not buy from them! I filed with the BBB you should see all their complaints I wish I had.

After a bad accident in our other car my wife and I came over here and Nelly G. Was in training and was very awesome I really liked her honesty on the cars. Brenda was a great trainer for Nelly I will definitely recommend this place to anybody nice people a car place that really cares and tells you the truth. Thank y'all for helping us out today

While visiting Austin Texas, I had the pleasure of stopping in at Sames Red Barn motors looking at possible buying a vehicle and was waited on by Mr. Frank Castro who was in my opinion the most professional salesman I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I didn't purchase a car that day, but the experience will never be forgotten.

I wasn't really looking to buy a car, but as soon as I spoke to Brenda I., I was immediately motivated. Amazing customer service with every question answered. Not to mention the professionalism in relating to getting a quote. She made the experience easier and something to look forward to. Definitely need more people with customer service like hers. Will recommend to friends and family!

Well kudos to my coworkers and Sames Red Barn Motors. I'm an employee at Sames Red Barn Motors and was treated by my coworkers like I was family. But of course I think that's why Sames auto group has been in business since 1910 because we treat our family like we treat our customers and we treat our customers like we treat our family. I purchased a slightly used 2015 BMW 535 I I received my car in excellent condition and got the payment that I was looking for so again kudos to my fellow workers. And if you're looking at buying a car come see us because we treat you just like family.

I had the pleasure of working with Kayon to trade in my old car. He was super helpful, kind, and Curtis is. The car I wanted was in bastrop so he drove us there and followed behind to make sure everything was running fine. Overall, it was a super easy process and having someone so knowledgeable and professional made it even easier. Thank you!

Been thinking about making a trade and I knew what I wanted to buy. I met Brenda Ingle and she invited me to visit Sames. I finally did. This was my first stop on my journey for a new car, and I'm happy to say this was also my last stop. This dealership is different from all my experiences. A very clean and friendly environment. Brenda made sure I had what I needed and I left thinking that I would recommend this place to friends for their next purchase. Mike Rivera made the rest of my experience and my decision making very appealing from the get go. He understood what I was looking for in terms of financial needs and made all the possible accommodations to fit my budget. Amazing experience overall.

The worst buying experience I've ever had, they had pictures on offerup of a car i was interested in, verified it on the phone but it in person it was a different color and not the same interior. I thought it was minimal of a difference so I ended up getting it. They sold it to me on an empty tank, as soon as I drove it home sensors started going off and the next day my car broke down, i took it back they had it in the shop for more than a month, they would not answer my calls when i would call for an update and i ended up picking up my car and taking it to an actual mechanic who told me they did nothing basically and not to mention the reason why one of the sensors was off was because they sold me a car with a nail in the tire.

Spending an additional $900 and taking it to 2 different auto shops because of how messed up my car was apparently no one could figure it out. As of now i'm trading it in for another car, would not recommend this place at all! Avoid this place at all costs

My daughter has had her car only for a little over a month. A 2016 Nissan Altima. On Friday, October 15th the car left her stranded. We figured out it was the battery. Had the car jumped by my car. Then took the batter to O'reillys and they tested and told me it was a bad battery. We then called Sames on Saturday numerous of times and no answer. Called the salesman that sold my daughter the car who his name is Darryl Quintanilla who also never answered his phone or returned the call.

Come Monday, October 18th, my daughter calls again. After calling all morning, they finally answered. Just to tell us there was nothing to be done because we bought a used car. Well of course we know it's a used car but even with that said. We are not expecting the battery to die that soon. So they are taking no responsibility. To make things worse, my son bought a 2013 VW Tiguan from them also.

He bought about maybe two months ago, and guess what!? I had to replace the battery the same week as my daughters car. Coincidence, I think Not! I recommend everyone to not go there. They are SCAMMERS!

WORST PLACE EVER. horrifying customer service. they sold my brother a broken car. not even DAYS after he purchased, it rained and water would leak inside. the interior would be soaked it was brought to service TOO many times and as expected, wasn't fixed. terrible place to do business. if you're thinking of buying a car from here. just walk. or crawl

Horrible dealership do not buy a car from here this is your warning.!They've been scamming people since they are oldest car dealership in Texas since 1910. I worked a deal, they took my money and then called back later and said the car had to go to the shop and get $4000 worth of the repairs and now they're going to tack that onto my price of the car, sorry but they don't care this is one of the oldest scams in the in the industry these guys are crooks and I'll take your money do not buy a car from them!

The sales manager and the salesman have no sympathy that they don't care all they want is your money. They have a lot of junk cars on the lot as well. Here are for Reputable dealerships that care and will take care of you and give you a good deal not scam you. Carmax, Texas auto sales, covert auto group. I didn't warn you when you go and they scam you.

The Sakes Manager R.Juarez is the worst Financial manager I'll ever dealt with, no customer service skills and he just shifted the blame to the Basdrop location and refused to get the General Manager involved. This guys are running the most unprofessional dealership for being the oldest, you would think they would have gotten it by now.

They had a car listed on Offer Up that NEVER EXISTED. It was a bunch of Stock Photos of a black car I was looking for, exterior and interior. I talked to four people to schedule a time to come test drive, and not one of them bothered to tell me the car was WHITE AND NOT BLACK. Great response about setting it up. I drive over an hour and what do you know, no car.

Now I know every dealership uses stock photos, until they take the actual photos, but to have the car for 30 days and not change it, come on. At least use stock photos that match the car. And, there wasn't a single description of the car on the advertisement. They are lucky I had my son with me or I would have probably been kicked out. I will be sending them a bill for my time and mileage. It won't go anywhere, but it will make me happy.

It's not too often that I would give a car dealership a five star rating but Sames Red Barn Motors knocked it out of the park. A little Texas fun fact, Sames is the oldest car dealership in Texas and that experience really shows. Initially, I found Sames through an Autotempest.com search. I sent an email and met Frank Castor. Frank is amazing! It's always refreshing to meet professionals that are into their craft. Frank went above and beyond to facilitate my experience. Frank is a wholesome man and is definitely a straight shooter. Frank excudes such an inviting positivity that even though you don't buy a car from him, you walk away feeling like a million bucks.

Every time I spoke to Frank it was hard not to walk away smiling (expect family friendly Dad jokes). I have been buying cars for well over 25 years and Sames definitely raised the bar for professionalism, customer service, and overall car buying experience. Sames definitely know their numbers and price their inventory competitively. Frank and the Sames team sold me a very memorable experience that led me to buying a new car.

At the end of the day we both walked away smiling, was it Frank for making a sell or me for getting a great deal? Swing on by to Sames Red Barn Motors and decide for yourself.

They threatened to shut my van that I just bought for not having my references call them not the company calls my references my references have to call them! I keep getting the run around my parts that they put in the contract to fix and they aren't! I told them I just want my down payment back so I can go to a different dealership and they told me that I will be charged for the repairs! Crazy idiot people don't go here I don't care how much you are struggling.

I was emailing Jackeline Fernandez and Maria Velazquez about getting some pictures and a price on a car on the lot and Jackeline just stopped replying. Maria then got in contact with me and said "Ok David I will help you" after roughly two weeks of waiting for a reply from her and that was it. Nothing else was ever said. Also they seem to only want shoppers who speak Spanish. These sales associates are a joke. Extremely poor customer service. They passed by a cash sale as I was ready to buy ASAP. Maybe they just don't need the business.

Everything that I am typing is True. sames red barn Sucks! Maria at the riverside location was able to finance me a car after I had a repo and I am thankful. BUT, the financing was for 3X the car value and I did not know that a "device" was on the car until the car was "turned off" after being a day late on the payment. Angela at the riverside location had me initial and sign paperwork but did not go over any of the details.

The car was not clean and had no gas in it when I picked it up. The so called warranty is bogus. It does not cover anything. Nobody called to let me know that my tags were in and when I got them I had to put them on. My overall experience has not been good with sames. Go somewhere else when looking for a vehicle.

DO NOT COME HERE TO SELL A USED CAR. I would give a half star if I could. The girl Franci was so nice and welcoming. However, the man who appraised my car was rude and offered me $900 LESS than what CarMax quoted me for my car. He also told me if he took my car, it would just go straight to Mexico and this to me seemed pretty racist and I just did not have a good experience here. Please look elsewhere to do business especially selling a car.

Was in the need of a car! Was referred to this place thru a friend, and I worked with Bob Salinas great sales person if I give him a 10 I would! I love my car and great on gas!

Do NOT buy a used car from Sames Red Barn. I don't care what anyone else says in their review. First they lure you in with a car that isn't even on the lot. Then they rope you into spending more than you intended. Then they try to sell you a "Tire Protection Plan" with the false pretense that it's a requirement. It's really just an additional loan for $2,500.00.

The salesman tells me "We'll fill up the tank, and clean it up for you!" I left with a 1/4 tank and realized when I got home that the antennae was missing from the roof. I managed to avoid the Tire Plan, after being told to "Try it for 3 months." How to you "Try out" a loan?!? Now I'm 2 months into owning a 2014 Spark from Red Barn and it just doesn't start. Everything else powers on except the engine. I'm afraid to even think about the B.S. Sames is going to feed me when I tell them. Get your car somewhere else.

Apparently this is a "no haggle" used car dealer. The price listed on their website + TTL is what they quoted me "out the door." I made reasonable cash offer on the car (like, I was going to give them a check today). By the way, this car has been sitting on their lot for over 3 months. They completely refused to even counteroffer my cash offer. They also didn't want my name or phone number for any future contact. "No that won't necessary, " was their quick curt response. My hard earned money is going somewhere else, I suggest you do the same.

Sames red Barn took advantage of me and my family when I was 7 months pregnant. They sold me a car that Is totally and completely undrivable not to mention dangerous and I was driving it like that till I took it to get the first oil change and the reveal tons of damage that sames had to have know about since they brag about their inspections. No one one will message email or call me back and had to hire a lawyer. Once I did that I found out the vehicle was a rental vehicle and that is another illegal thing they did. Save your time and money. Go somewhere else.

This review applies to the service department directly. I came in with a problem on my vehicle and received the best possible customer service from the service manager and mechanics. The turnaround time on the repair was very short, exceeding my expectations. The communication could not have been better. I will return with hopes of experiencing the same level of satisfaction with my next car purchase.

Not even going to bother going here. Their web page sucks. They have vehicles listed as manual transmission when they are automatic. You cant navigated the search without the "text us" tab getting in the way. Fairly certain the only positive comments on here are employees or friends of employees. Pretty sad really. Bad business and a South Austin eye sore. Zero stars for you!

Arrived at 9am to get inspection sticker, I had to ask to be helped. They said inspection guy was not in yet. I waited till 9:20 for a follow up and seemed like several people were confused because inspection man was there.but no one bothered to tell him I was waiting. After the inspection, they informed me that the machine was out of Toner and they could not print my sticker and I needed to go to HEB. What? Wait, I now have to drive somewhere else.poor communication, 45 minutes for Inspection Sticker, and my car smells like Oil and Gas and not the kind that makes you $$$! Bet Your Red Barn I won't Be Back!

Went in to see Alex. He was really nice but the car I inquired about wasn't prepped for me so about 15min later he pulls it around. While I'm waiting I have the pleasure of looking at a dead bird covered in ants. Gross. I point to the bird and apparently someone saw it die but nobody wanted to clean it up. Ok? So your customers get to look at it while they're waiting?

Cover it at least. Sheesh. So I go look at the car and it hasn't been cleaned. At all. If I tell you it smelled like someone tried to cover up the smell of death, it's not an exaggeration. There was that nasty carpet powder all over and the smell was terrible. I couldn't even keep the door open, forget driving the car. So 30min later, no car no deal.

My advice would be to prepare the vehicle ahead of time when you know someone is coming to look. If you aren't going to have it pulled up to front, at least make sure it's show-able. And if it's not ready to be shown, don't post it. Alex was nice but they didn't appear to be a legit, reputable place I'd buy a car.

RAN UNAUTHORIZED CREDIT CHECK These guys will run your credit even AFTER you tell them you aren't interested in a car! don't trust them because if they will do this they will do ANYTHING to make a sale including sell you something they KNOW is JUNK!

Do NOT trust this business. I called ahead to make sure the VW Jetta I saw listed online was still available; I was told it was and made an appointment to come view it. An hour and a half bus ride later, I showed up to the dealership and was told that the car had a broken seatbelt and had been taken away for repairs that morning. It all seemed fishy and I was annoyed, but I figured I had made the trip and might as well look at other similar cars in their lot.

The saleswoman (Angela) kept steering me towards another VW Jetta with 40k more miles on it than the one I had seen online and would not drop it, refused to show me other cars, and eventually I walked out of the dealership. I don't believe they even had the car I was interested in at all, it was a bait and switch.
