My wife called this dealership to order a new Subaru. When she got the paperwork emailed from the dealer, there was a $4,000 markup added to the vehicle. They called this a "Market Value Adjustment". I call it a gouge. And this is in addition to the $2,000 deposit to actually order the vehicle! We cancelled the order, and are now dealing with Kendall in Eugene. They're asking for sticker price, and $500 to hold the car. Some difference, eh? You might want to watch your ass when dealing with these folks, otherwise it may cost you considerable extra money. I cannot recommend them.

From the git-go, a first class experience. Richard and Chris treated us with respect and humor and worked with us to get a great price on the car and our trade in. Bob Adams in finance was very flexible, not at all pushy, and helpful getting USA great rate on the loan for 45 months. Can't say enough good things about these guys! I actually sold VW's for 2 years in Hawaii and this was a cut above for customer service.

On top of this, our outback limited is truly delightful to drive. This car is very quiet, responsive, corners beautifully, holds it's speed beautifully with adaptive cruise control, slows down and speeds up automatically, hands free hatch lift, remote start. And too much more to mention. We are 110% happy with the vehicle and our buying experience at sosubaru. Well done, gents!

So. I want to say that our car salesman Nick Knutson was absolutely amazing! He helped us get the best deal on our new Subaru CrossTrek! He was so nice to my family and made us feel so comfortable with our decision! If you're looking for a new Subaru look no further than Southern Oregon Subaru and hopefully you get Nick to sale you are car! That guy is AWESOME!

I have bought both of my Subaru's at this lovely dealership. I can't begin to express how helpful & lovely the whole staff has been in both transactions. Jeff Holcomb, Bob Adams, and most recently, Craig Pena, have made the experience of buying a Subaru so awesome. The service department on oil changes is also awesome. Fast, helpful, super friendly & made sure that my Legacy was in good shape. Go see them for your Subaru needs! You will love the experience & probably drive Subaru forever going forward.

"Tool marks occur in the rotation of tires" after having a tire rotation completed by Souther Oregon Subaru all 4 of my painted wheels were left with damage and chipping through the paint to the aluminum underneath. The car has 8k miles and this was the first rotation. They claim the damage is normal, if you want you car cared for seek service elsewhere!

John was very helpful, not pushy and really nice. We showed up for a test drive and were back at home with the car of our dreams in less than 3 hours. We got exactly what we wanted, at the price we wanted, plus a few extras. John provided us with a positive, quick and seamless experience and I would highly recommend him to anyone that is not trying to be "sold" on something they don't need or can't afford.

I'll start with this little disclosure. I have owned Subaru's for about 15 years and have sent dozens of people to buy them, I know the crew at SO Subaru and knew my next car would be from there. That said. I did not expect it to be such an easy and pleasant experience. I stopped by to chat with Nick and talk numbers about what a new car would look like financially speaking.

They happened to have a car on the lot that matched everything I wanted down to the color. Typically speaking, salesman don't usually have much info about the car I don't already know. But on our test drive Nick showed me all sorts of goodies I didn't know the car had! Nick, Valerie and the rest of the team at SO Subaru were an absolute pleasure to work with.

I didn't get any of the high pressure sales stuff most people are afraid of. Just a team looking to set you up with what's best for you and your needs. HIGHLY Recommend stopping in and talking with them!

I haven't bought many cars in my day, but we all know how time consuming and annoying it can be. My experience with southern Oregon Subaru was top notch. They went above and beyond to get me the car I wanted and made it so simple for me. I highly suggest Going through them for your next vehicle purchase. We brought our Subaru in for some maintenance on Monday. By Friday we had a new issue arise. We decided with our busy life we needed another vehicle anyways after spending 8 years as a single vehicle family. We walked out Saturday with this beautiful 2020 RAM. So many thanks to SO SUBARU team. Stephan in the service department, kind and helped us navigate through getting the Subaru fixed. Nick, our salesman.

We had an apt at 3:15pm, called and asked for a morning apt and he said come on down. So friendly and no push. We never once felt rushed or felt obligated to do anything! Last but not least Walley. Helped with all our paperwork. Explained everything so clear and well. We appreciate these guys and their effort through our entire process of getting one car fixed and purchasing another. Such a great team. No pressure, never felt rushed or obligated to have to make a choice.

You know when you need a new car but totally dread all the time you will have to spend at a dealership in order to get one? Ya. me too. But this was actually a really good time. Nick was fantastic, funny, and charismatic. Found an absolute epic Outback, trades in the old, and we are sittin' pretty. This is a great spot. Everyone is supper accommodating and friendly! Highly recommend!

Fine group of folks here, very knowledgeable, courteous and service oriented. Needed to have a hitch installed on a Subaru Outback XT, that was purchased here, for a last minute trailer pull to Colorado. Stephen Abrams helped us to the nth degree and they got it done in time for us to load and get on the road. They knew we were working hard, packing and loading a 16 ft POD and needed extra space, hence the trailer. Kudos to the folks here, they stepped up beautifully and got us on the road with no concerns.

What a terrible experience! Even after an 8 hour drive, I regret not walking out before purchasing a car! I had to drive down from Seattle to purchase the color/trim I wanted, so I asked for all the paperwork in advance. Instead of sending me actual paperwork, they just printed some RANDOM SALES CONTRACT FROM THE INTERNET! The sales and finance staff struggled to answer my questions, and made up nonsense explanations on the spot.

The price breakdown included acronyms they said were "taxes from the DMV", but when I called the DMV, they had never heard of taxes like that. After an 8 hour drive, Southern Oregon Subaru surprised me with an entirely different set of paperwork, I was there for HOURS trying to sort out what should have been a simple in-advance purchase. I asked for some upgrades, but service screwed up the billing, so I ended up having to deal with payment a week later instead of it going into my car loan.

So more time on the phone. THEN, after I bought my car, the dealership lost my plates, so I had to spend hours on hold with the DMV and with the dealership trying to get them before my temporaries expired. This is about as bad of an experience as I could have had with a legitimate business. I really wish I had just turned around and driven 8 hours home without a new vehicle. EDIT: Oh my gosh, they even screwed up their reply to my review. Is this for real?!

I couldn't possibly say enough good things about our Service Advisor, Drew Chase and the rest of the service staff. We were on our way from the Southern Oregon Coast to our son's wedding in the Tahoe area. About 90 miles from Medford nearly every warning light came on and the car stopped shifting properly. I called the dealership and spoke with Wendy who advised me to continue driving to the dealership as long as the check engine light didn't start flashing.

While we continued driving, our son managed to book a rental car for us ($900+) so that we could make it to the wedding. When we arrived at the dealership, Drew performed a code test and determined that we needed to leave the vehicle because there was some type of a transmission problem. We picked up the rental car and continued to our son's home.

The next day as we were walking into the ceremony, Drew called to say that not only was our Outback repaired, but that it was under warranty so there was no charge. Even better, he told me that Subaru would refund the charge for the rental car.

Gus sold me my first Subaru this month and it was a great experience. He worked with me to get a car that had everything I wanted, and at a good price. Southern Oregon Subaru has been an excellent place for me. On the service side, Stephan is absolutely trustworthy and straightforward. I won't do do any repairs on my vehicle without getting his input. I had an excellent experience buying my new Subaru from Nick Knutson. He was easy to talk to, and I never felt like he was trying to do anything other than get me a reasonable price for a new car. I highly recommend both Nick and Stephan.

I was in the market for a new Subaru Forester. This was my local dealer. Fortunately I was an informed consumer and solicited offers from other Subaru dealers. SOS was the highest price offer. Even after some bargaining, they were $500-$$1800 more than the other offers. Their sticker price included $4000 for "market adjustment." None of the other dealers included such an itemWhile the salesmen pretty quickly eliminated that, it's only function would seem to be to gouge uninformed or desperate customers or to make the customer think she'd got a good deal already and not bargain further.

This is a large black mark against the dealership Second, the salesman I got, John Bernea, was pushy and unhelpful. I came back after the first visit for a test drive. I explicitly told him that that was the sole purpose of the trip, but he was whiny and unpleasant because I hadn't brought my title to my current car. After a couple of email exchanges as I was doing my due diligence, he called and asked if I was ready to buy.

I told him I was not buying a Subaru from him he got angry/ snippy and told me that he'd spent a lot of time with me. 1. He spent roughly 2 hours. 2. As I told him, I wasn't obliged to buy a car from him. My interactions with him overall left an unpleasant taste. So my advice, shop around and don't buy from SOS unless their actions and pricing is in line with other Oregon Subaru dealers I contacted 4 others; SOS was least helpful and highest price. If you do want to include SOS in your Subaru shopping, ask for a different sslesperson

Was looking to buy our 5th Subaru. Called and verified car online was available. It sure was. We also agreed to a price and a tentative trade in value of my car. Told AJ we were driving from Grants Pass and would be down there in an hour and a half. (Planned on trading in my 2010 that I purchased there brand new, so needed to clean it out.) As we were driving over Blackwell Hill, we get a phone call from AJ that someone else was on their way to look at it. Asked if we wanted to "put a deposit" on it.

Not while I'm driving to come see it. Told him where we were at (10 minutes away) and he said "that should be fine". We get there and there is a lady looking at it. We had every intention on buying it. We were told that if she doesn't buy it, they would give us a call. They wanted to take all my info for my trade. I refused.and glad I did.

I drove up to Portland the next day and bought a 2021 Outback Touring model. Funny thing about that is this.we called and told the dealership up in Portland that we were 4.5 hours away. THEY HELD THE VEHICLE FOR US! WITHOUT A DEPOSIT! Grateful SO Subaru didn't hold the car for 1.5 hours. If they had, I wouldn't have ended up with a top of the line Touring at a HUGE discount buying through the Costco auto buying program, which SO Subaru does not participate in.

Be careful when they try to get you into a 3 rd party insurance like All State windshield and tire protection and fail to tell you what does it really covers. Others had the same issue as I did but the manager at Subaru covered their windshield damage not mine."Things that make you go humm"

Historically speaking, there are few things that stress me out more than the necessity of buying and selling cars. I hate it. But this was, without a doubt, the easiest, most magical, graceful, stress free, ridiculously enjoyable car buying/selling experience I have ever EVER had. I cannot recommend our salesman, Nick Knutson, enough. The entire experience, start to finish, was infused with genuine kindness, consideration and ease.

Since then, I've randomly talked to multiple other people out and about who all happened to have similar experiences with this seriously wonderful man. Like, they LIT UP when I said his name. Clearly, this is someone who's moving through the world in a good way. The best ally anyone could hope to have in the car industry. Meanwhile, there are so many great perks to working with this dealership, and seriously, everyone there just seemed awesome. They'll be my go-to's from now on.

This dealership seriously tried to hassle me. They have a special rate for a lease going on an Outback that msrp is 28.5k going for 249 (decent deal) I came in and liked the vehicle but with a few added features. These added features only brought the msrp up by 30% and they were trying to charge a whopping 550 per month?!?! Not only this but the car they offered to me was a year old!

I looked past that because I liked it but taking advantage of my interest in the vehicle in such a way is wild. As if I cant do math. 28.5k car is 249 a month but 9k in features adds additional 300 and makes it 550?!?

We stopped by to ask questions about chains for my husbands Subaru Outback and ended up with a new Subaru Impreza. Levi was so nice and low key. No pressure just offered to set up test ride. He was very knowledgeable about the car. Nick and Valerie were also very helpful and nice through the process. All were considerate to follow COVID safety protocols too. Overall, a very satisfying buying experience. I also got a good deal on a cool car. Love the red on the outside and on details on the inside. Really like that it is like a sporty sedan, but with AWD.

Our sales person Tony was great. Not gonna lie when we got there my husband saw him coming and we literally picked up the pace and tried to run away, we just wanted to look lol. Long story short 6 hours later we both had brand new cars at a great rate. Tony was patient and personable. 10 out of 10.

I took my car in there for a quick oil change. Needless to say I expected the mechanic to show up and say there was an expensive problem with the car. Sure enough, it happened. They took me to the garage and told me I needed a new part. If I didn't get it, I could be stranded somewhere. Then four mechanics surrounded me in the garage and warned me about how dangerous the situation was.

It kind of freaked me out. And I told them to just give me back my car. And I would take it to another mechanic. Of course he said the situation wasn't as dire as Subaru had told me. I was so shaken by this experience. I contacted the national office of Subaru. #metoo #metooSouthernOregonSubaru @Southernoregonsubaru I have heard from other car mechanics that this is a very common problem with this dealership. I would never go back.

I was placed in very bad situation my little Subaru was totaled in CC CA with only having her 5 months! Very heart wrenching. Southern Oregon Subaru is where I went back to had find vehicle was time crunch had get loner car back etc. Tony Hernandez at SOS worked with me, driving cars and listening to my personal sob story. I couldn't at this time get into another Subaru. Tony did push hard, seriously he was so helpful in getting me safe, reliable car. Southern Oregon Subaru cares. If you need used car or can swing new car put your hands with Tony Hernandez. He'll work outside the box for you! Thank you Tony!

TODAY: I've been here since 10 am today and it's 3:30 PM. Yes, 5.5 hrs. I just payed $150 for the detailing and there are still spots of water on my car. I was told, to get water spots off my car I would need a better detailing package than the silver, so I got the gold. Nope that didn't happen, just ended up paying an extra $100. See the pictures.

I was too upset to talk to anyone before I left, I was simply too angry. I won't be servicing my car here any longer. I rather drive to another city. Be prepared to wait 3 hours for a simple oil change. Detailing is another 3hrs. This is with an appointment made a week in advance. The last 2 times I got my car detailed, there was still dust on my dash and drips all over my vehicle.

After the last oil change and inspection, my tires weren't even filled. I called the dealership where I purchased my vehicle and asked if this was 'normal timing', and they laughed and said, 'not in the least bit, 3 hrs'. So here we are.
