All of our inventory comes from new car dealers in our local area. Tom's Auto Sales was founded in 1984 at 2001 Hubbell Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa. In 1988, Tom purchased property at 2136 E. University Avenue in Des Moines. In 2001, Tom built a new facility at this location to better serve his customers and provide the high quality of service his customers have come to expect.

We include rental car reimbursement on all plans with only 4 hours of required work for reimbursement. Our service contracts are designed to cover almost any vehicle with a diverse selection of coverage options. ASC Warranty provides one of the most cost efficient service agreements in the industry.

This was the third dealership we had shopped to find a great used car, and Tom's beat the others, hands down. They had a fabulous selection, agreed to fix a few minor details, and were terrific to deal with! Griffin was extremely helpful, and felt like a friend by the time we left. If you are looking for a fair price, a large selection, and a great group of guys to deal with, Tom's Auto is the place to go!

Nice people, quick financing and got a warranty on a used car which I did not expect. We had an issue with the car about a week after buying it and Dewey took car of it by working with the mechanic. Good communication after the sale as well. The car I bought is for a teenager and they had a good selection of clean used cars with good mileage.

Very satisfied! My car was recently totaled and I was having the hardest time finding a car with my credit not being the best! I tried several different places with the short amount of time I was given to find a car as I had to take my rental back. From the moment I pulled up on the lot of Toms I was immediately greeted with great customer service! Bryan helped me and understood my situation and let me test drive every car I was interested in lol he made the process super easy!
I test drove a few cars Saturday, found one I wanted we started the process, he called a few banks Monday morning and got me approved! I picked up my car Tuesday! The gentleman doing the paperwork was also very nice! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE LOOKING FOR A CAR! I will definitely go back! Affordable and great service!

My fiances car had broke down and I needed something pretty fast! We went to 4 other dealerships and this was the last place we went. Brian showed me around and looked at a few cars but I found the perfect one right away! Was very easy to work with, everything was done in under 30 mins and you really can't beat the prices at this lot! Thank you all so much! We love our new Malibu

Griffin, a great car sales man, helped me pick my perfect car. I took my sweet time and came back once or twice a week for a month. And he was so patient with me. When it came to test driving, he always made sure the car was ready, gassed up, with the air on. When it came to driving off the lot with my dream car, he cleaned it up and made sure it was perfect.
He made buying my first car a great experience. I will definitely be back at Tom's, hopefully to work with Griffin again, to buy my second car once possible. I love my new jeep!

Brian was my sales rep and he was great! Very prompt and had the car ready for me to test drive since I was on a time frame. He was very knowledgeable with the vehicle I was interested in. Toms auto was also easy to work with on buying this vehicle. This makes 3 vehicles now that we have bought from Tom's and I referred a friend who has also bought a vehicle from them. I highly recommend this dealership.

Where to start?. First and foremost our salesman "H" as he likes to be called, was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. I forgot most times I was talking to a used car dealership. The truck I was wanting to purchase was great, clean and was ready for me to test drive when we got there. Financing was rather smooth, Marty was a big help and friendly as well. All and all I would recommend anyone who needs a new truck or car to go see "H" and everyone else there.

Seriously great customer service. Everyone who works here is friendly as can be. Brian genuinely cared about our situation (my car broke down while we were passing through Iowa and I needed a replacement ASAP) and he was very patient while I sorted out my finances. Never felt rushed or forced to buy, Brian had tons of knowledge to share and I ended up with a gorgeous car. Absolutely must go to Tom's!
