Ithaca Foreign Car Service was started in 1974 by Dave Allen, Dave Brumsted, and Dan Ryan. The first shop was located on North Cayuga St in what is now a laundromat. After a year or two Dan decided to pursue other interests, and left Dave and Dave to carry on. Dave Allen "retired" in 1992, after many, many years of working on cars, to devote more time to being a gentleman farmer.
