We recently took delivery on a new Super Duty pickup that we custom ordered from Harper's. I was completely satisfied with the customer service we got throughout the entire process. Chris did a tremendous job making sure the order was correctly placed and advised us on everything we needed as well as what we did not. When we came to pick it up he helped us fill out the final paperwork and did a thorough walk through of the truck. Antoine took care of us for the finance portion and worked with us to get the payment plan that best suited our needs. Can't say enough good things about both of these fine gentlemen! If you are thinking about getting a new truck I would highly recommend checking out Harper!

A great place to shop for a vehicle or get your vehicle serviced. I purchased a 2017 Ford F-150 from there and had a very smooth and easy purchasing experience. Chris Arnold there was good to work with. He knew the vehicles inside and out, didn't pressure-sell, and was open to negotiation. In the end I walked away very satisfied with the transaction.
Since then, maintenance and routine checks have been a breeze there! Their shuttle service is excellent! We don't have a lot of options in our area, but I'm very glad Harper Motors is here!

I drove up to Eureka from the bay area to buy my car at Harper. Seth did everything to earn our business over the phone 1. He actually had the car 2. He held the price and the car overnight so we could get there 3. Negotiated responsibility over the phone 4. Straight up small town honesty great folks

I definitely don't recommend. I had an oil change, was overcharged $10. It wasn't a huge issue but I called the service department roughly four times over the course of a month just trying to get ahold of someone to ask about it. It wouldn't have been a big issue, but the fact that they never responded made it ridiculously frustrating. Previously they were fine answering if you're simply scheduling, but other than that they just do not care about customer service. Regardless, it costs $190 to have your airbag wiring looked at and nothing changed at all, but they can do it because they have a monopoly.
Other car repair shops won't look at anything involving that specifically. Next time, if I ever do have that same problem, I'd honestly be willing to drive hours south just to avoid this particular location. Bummer.

Kia souls engine died at 113k miles. They offered to rebuild engine for $8000 as there is a parts shortage tight now. It's not covered by warranty. Car was religiously maintained and had oil changes. After review they did call and explain exactly what had gone wrong with it. They say that they will investigate into it further. Kia caller after review was very friendly and helpful. I do think it's odd a car only last 113k miles but it was nice to get some extra info after I reviewed.

We bought a lemon ford in hollister CA. We had 70 thousand miles on it when the car over heated and blew engine. After weeks of research we found the eco boost engines have a flaw and the coolant leaks into cylinders. We were lucky the car didn't catch on fire as some has. There are hundreds of class action law suits because of this issue. When we took the car to harper they denied any problems with the eco boost and I was concerned because they don't know the issues they wouldn't fix it.
When I voiced my concerns to mechanic he was quite rude and told me I needed to stop doing research online that I knew nothing. Thanks to salesman standing there when he did that and apologized to me for his rudeness that was appreciated. We wanted to get rid of this horrible car and wanted to trade it. The sales people said they had nothing. We called a great car lot in Portland that was happy to work with us but when they ran our car Vin the 2018 ford we still owe money on is now valued at zero dollars.
No one at harper told us replacing the engine would remove all value of our car. We were furious. When we started home the car still running medium hot. The next issue is we were told the car would be 10 grand plus labor to fix yet they charged gap only 6,000. The final blow was the state of the car absolute filthy. Scratches on glove compartment. Dead bees in car and dirt every where to hand a car back in this state is ridiculous with detailer on lot. They could have hosed it off. Done with ford's for life.

Trevor you say "you're so sorry" yet all you do is hide behind a computer screen and spread lies. It's funny to me how you can never be reached by me or other customers? I stand by with my 1 star rating and as I can see so do the other 50+ 1 star review ratings there are about you and your company. You lied saying that it was said we would be ok with a rental car when in fact we left a message saying it would only be ok if it was for the service not a diagnostic.
What also makes me laugh is that you twisted my husbands words of "no Ford has ever taken more than 3 hours for a diagnostic" to "15 minutes" just to make you look good on a Yelp review. Yet you guys stated you needed all day to run a diagnostic. Your customers see your character and your companies lack of customer service and general knowledge on cars.

Service experience was rough. They charge about $300 for diagnosis, even for very common problems that Ford has admitted to but not issued a recall for. My service writer was rude. Online reviews confirmed many customers have similar experiences, and the nearest highly rated Ford dealerships are more than 3 hours away. I sold the car and bought a Toyota at Mid-City Motor World. It shares a parking lot with Harper and seems to be one dealership, but they are separate.

I traded in my Prius for a used Ford F-350, about a year and a half ago. I love my truck. However, from a business standpoint, I found them to be predatory. They charged way too much for the truck, gave me a very low trade in value (then turned around and sold my Prius for what I paid for it!), and acted like they were doing me a favor. I needed a truck to pull my Airstream, so I was a bit under the gun to purchase a vehicle.
In retrospect, I'd never go back to them. It was very clear to me, they were interested in my money, only. Not building a relationship. When the truck was delivered, it had not been detailed, someone in the shop stole the tow hitch (I got it back), and they were disinterested in helping me further. I was in a predicament, they knew it, and took advantage of it. Go elsewhere for your car buying needs.

Service was awful! This is the second worst experience I have had at KIA! Not only did the car salesman tell me that he was "off his game because he went to the fights the night before and got drunk" but he also told me I was basically a waste of time if I didn't have a down payment then and THERE. I swear I will NEVER recommend anyone to go there again and I will never step foot there again.
I will be taking my business down south. As a car salesman you're supposed to help me all the way through the process, and if he would have waited a couple weeks, I would have had the money for the down payment but he thinks JUST because i came to look at a car and see some options, I would take it off the lot that day i'm 23, a college student & work full time. Dave in the Part Department is a Superstar! I was driving North on the 101 and my 2014 Ford F150 just kept dying every 20 miles. It would restart and go another 20 miles, but this is no way to vacation with family. We called him on Saturday at around 4:00 p.m. to see if he had a throttle body in stock to fix the issue. He had one in stock and even though they close before I would arrive, he helped my buy it over the phone and gave it to the reception desk to pickup the next day. Got it installed and finished my vacation trouble free! Thanks Dave! To Manager - Promote or give Dave a raise!

This review is for the purchase of a used truck from Harper. I was searching all over the state for my perfect truck, and Harper had 2 of them that fit the bill, so I drove all the way down from Tahoe (7 hours) to look at it. I was a little worried that it would not be as advertised or as pictured. But beforehand, I called and Chris gave me detailed info on both of them, and when I did get there, I found that the trucks were exactly as he described them.
I knew which one I wanted right away, and they worked with me on the financing and the price. Chris was good to work with, and he even knew the previous owner of the truck so he could tell me about its history. I feel like I got a fair price and a good deal, and so far the truck is just as I had hoped it would be. I feel good supporting this dealer, one of the oldest in the country and still family owned. I would definitely buy from them again!

Three cheers for Harpers Service Department! Hip-hip hooray! Hip-hip hooray! Hip-hip hooray! I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Nate was extremely kind, honest, and knowledgeable regarding my vehicle and the service needed. I truly appreciate the shuttle service that took me to work and picked me back up when my vehicle was finished (shout out to Keith!).
Not only were the employees great, I couldn't find a better price for the repairs done. It's not often you leave a dealership/mechanic feeling good about what was done. Small or large repairs. I had really high hopes traveling from Crescent city over To Eureka Harper for for service, The repair was a little bit more than I had expected but those types of things do happen so I agreeingly and happily paid the $4700 to have my 2006 F350 back on the road, since it had been previously dumping coolant all over the roads, it took about a week to get the repairs finished, then I got the call that it was already to go.
I paid the $4,700 plus tax and drove down to pick it up. I was so excited to finally have my truck back, but then I came out the next morning and some more coolant spilling on my driveway, so then we have another 85 mile tow back to Eureka, where I am then told by Harper Ford that and oil cooler has gone out on my vehicle, which apparently they didn't notice when they already had it exposed and were testing the coolant system as well as the oil system, I am also then told that I am looking at about another $1500 repair for the oil cooler, although oil coolers only cost about $350 for a manufacture direct ford Moto craft part, so apparently now I'm supposed to pay another $1150 of labor. initially I wasn't extremely upset until I spoke with various diesel mechanics who told me that since everything was already ripped up to change my oil pump which they just replaced, it wouldn't of took Hardly any extra time to take care of the oil cooler, two of the mechanics went as far as to laugh at the fact that any shop would do such a thing to someone. so now here I am with my leaky truck because I couldn't afford the other $1500 however I could have afforded the $350 for the oil cooler, if somebody would've just been paying attention. Now I almost wish I just would've sold it to

This place sucks! Brought in our mustang for some missing clips and a melted dash, all covered under extended warranty. What they supposedly re-clipped keeps falling out it's like they never did anything. There were some problems with a melted dash and nothing was done about it. It took forever to get the clips they "supposedly" ordered; never got a call, had to harass them like 3-4 times for them to actually get them. I only go there cuz it's the only ford in the area. Also gave them one extra star for the service tech he was kind.

Don't waste your time stopping here if you have a trade! Just offered me over 7000 under my car's KBB value! And over 5k under KBB's instant cash offer! For reference, our car doesn't have a scratch on it, no tears, no stains, and only has 6,600 miles on it. It's basically still new. Very disappointing but there are many dealers out there. Trevor, I understand exactly how the value of my vehicle is determined and how dealers attempt to manipulate people into believing there's no demand for their trade, but when you offer someone BELOW low trade value for their trade then put it on your lot for full clean retail value, if not higher, it completely contradicts your claim.
And one more thing.you didn't seem to care to explain to me how your offer was only 38,000 but KBB offered me 45,000 cash without even seeing it while I was there and as far as I'm concerned you still haven't.

***Updated, read until end*** I made an appointment to get my truck worked on. Drove 2 hours to get there, arrived 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Was told I wasn't on the list and they were overloaded. What a joke, I will NEVER patronize this place or refer anyone ever again. Thanks for a big fat waste of my time getting, your professionalism speaks for itself.
I don't often eat my words but here goes. After I left my original 1 star review I was contacted by Trevor Harper inquiring about the situation that happened to me. He was interested in the details and how he could better understand what took place as to avoid situations like this in the future. After listening to me rant Trevor immediately sprung into action, within minutes I got a call from Robert in service.
He listened to the issues I was having and had me immediately bring the truck in. They even helped work out a rental car for me! ***update*** Two weeks later I opened my hood to jumpstart another vehicle and found the sloppiest work I have ever seen on a battery replacement. Come on guys, at least clean the old battery acid off the connections or tell me I have to replace them. The half hearted attempt to clean them left acid over sprayed on my wire harness

We purchased our Soul EV from Harper Motors. Out of 9 Kia dealers we contacted, Chris Arnold was the most responsive, and professional. He quoted the price of the new car and trade in value of the old car via email. We drove 329 miles (one way), test drove the car, signed the contract, and left in 2 hours. When U-Haul didn't have the required car dolly, Chris contacted a transport company who would deliver the Soul in 3 days at a reasonable cost.
The next day, Chris called to confirm that the Soul arrived in good condition. Chris continued his excellent service and contacted us the following week to see if we had any questions. Finance Manager, Antoine Johnson, was professional, polite, and detail oriented. Also, Harper Motors has been in business over 100 years and is still owned by the same family!

New policy: they won't work on cars 20 years or older. I called the shop they recommended me to and they laughed at the "no service on cars 20 years or older" and simply said "well we like to do the work they won't do, cause we actually fix cars" so needless to say. I will not be returning with any of my cars.
